This weeks topics include his take on the Kevin Pillar incident, All-Star snubs, the firing of Padres general manager Josh Byrnes and more.Sky Sports’ tactical expert Danny Higginbotham explains the relative merits of zonal and man-to-man marking before offering a solution to the problem… The familiar debate about the merits of zonal marking has flared up again following a spate of defensive errors from set-pieces.A summer directive to referees put the spotlight on shirt-pulling from corners and Stoke were twice punished with penalties for fouls committed as the ball made its way into their area. Those infringements forced Mark Hughes to consider switching to zonal marking but Liverpool are among a number of clubs already struggling at the back using that method.Indeed, at the current rate, the 2016/17 campaign is set to see more goals conceded from set-pieces than any of the previous five seasons. So whats the solution? As former Stoke defender Danny Higginbotham explains, its not necessarily a case of one method or the other. Both have their benefits - but getting the balance right is the tricky part.Managers are worried about players holding shirts, getting blocked and opponents getting into areas that are really troublesome for defenders, says Higginbotham. Danny Higginbotham discusses the pros and cons of zonal marking What weve seen is that teams are going with zonal marking and its causing a lot of problems. The problem that you have is that these players are more or less stood in a line. When youre doing zonal youll tell  the person stood next to you to stretch their hands out.You should then be touching their hands. What thats supposed to do is stop gaps appearing for the opposition players to run through. But as weve seen with a few teams this season, with Stoke City and even Leicester City at times, is that opposition players are getting into positions that can cause real problems. If youve got a man and he scores then you know youre in for it at half-time. When you play zonal, players will go into the dressing room and say, Hes gone out of my zone. Danny Higginbotham I know as a defender if Im marking zonal, Ive got a standing start. The opponents are giving themselves a run and so theres only going to be one winner.Higginbotham believes that there is a benefit in giving players responsibility to mark another individual rather than allow excuses to be made.In the dressing room before a game you know the man you are going to mark, he says. If youve got a man and he scores then you know youre in for it at half-time. However, Higginbotham believes there are advantages to zonal marking. What zonal will stop is people pulling shirts and stuff like that, he adds. The other thing it will do is stop people being blocked. As a result, Higginbothams preference is for a hybrid system that fuses elements of both the zonal and man-to-man systems.Thats what Stoke used during his time at the club, conceding only 16 goals from set-pieces in 2010/11 - in contrast to the seven conceded in their opening six games of 2016/17.The way we used to do it at Stoke City, we were quite successful at it in terms of not conceding many goals, says Higginbotham. Christian Benteke explains why zonal marking makes it easier for him Tony Pulis Stoke would have three zonal men - one at the front, one at the centre making sure that the man cant get close to your goalkeeper and another one at the far post. What Id be saying is that we go back to the first scenario where you have a few zonal markers, he adds.If theres a problem where you have a player in your team who is prone to pulling shirts, you let him become the zonal one and give him the space to run into and attack the ball. Its another situation for teams to resolve and its just a case of getting the best of both worlds without confusing players too much. • MUNICH, Germany -- Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract with the club through June, 2019. Authentic Royals Jerseys For Sale . Rummenigge told the clubs extraordinary general meeting on Friday that the 28-year-old Neuer agreed to stay another three years at Bayern. Neuers previous deal ran to 2016. Rummenigge says he was impressed that Neuer approached the club two days after its Champions League exit to Real Madrid and that "its also a sign of his wonderful character that he said, I want Bayern Munich forever." Neuer has played 93 league games for Bayern since 2011, when he switched in a fraught move from Bundesliga rival and childhood club Schalke. He has made 45 appearances for Germany. Royals Yordano Ventura Jersey . He has scored one goal and seven assists in 37 career games with the Sabres, who originally selected him in the third round (66th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.MONTREAL - The Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings were all over the Canadiens on Friday night, but that didnt matter to Montreal goaltender Carey Price. The goalie who backstopped Canada to gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics was at his all-world best as the Canadiens pulled out a 6-2 victory despite being dominated territorially and being outshot 46-20.There was a little bit of (Dominik) Hasek in net today, a little bit of Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur and a little bit of Carey Price, Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban said, listing a few of the all-time greats. The same could not be said of Kings backup goalie Martin Jones, who came into the game with shutouts in his last two matches but allowed three goals on the first eight shots.Subban and David Desharnais each had a goal and an assist while Jiri Sekac, with two, Andre Markov and Sven Andrighetto also scored for Montreal (19-10-2). The Canadiens won a second game in a row, thanks to Price.Hes a great goaltender and he has the ability to make great saves, added Subban. Theres only a few goaltenders in the league that can do that and hes definitely one of them. Its not a surprise to us seeing him do that but to be able to see him do it against one of the best teams in the league, thats what we need.Defencemen Jake Muzzin and Drew Doughty scored for the Kings (15-10-5), who have lost three of their last four but were coming off a 5-3 win Thursday night in Ottawa. They played well enough to win in Montreal. Dustin Brown had eight shots, but didnt have a point and went minus-3. Trevor Lewis fired seven times and Muzzin six.We had a lot of really good chances, said Kings coach Darryl Sutter. We totally dominated the first period. I think Carey Price was really, really good, wasnt he?The Kings, as a team, have been labouring to score this season, with top end players like Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik and Brown all well below their usual scoring pace. After a five-goal outburst in Ottawa, The frustration returned in Montreal. We had the puck a lot and we created a lot, but no goals at the end of it, said Muzzin. You need goals to win.I thought we battled back and stuck with it and continued trying to fight and get some more goals. It just wasnt happening.Price had an answer for nearly everything until Muzzin and Doughty broke through in the third period. There was a furry in the second period, it was just desperation, Price said, recalling his busiest moments. There was one in the first on Drew. He gott me back in the third. Royals Jerseys China. Just playing the odds and getting lucky out there. Just trying to keep it simple, stupid.Price is 16-8-1 and has two shutouts, but could not have had a better game this season. The 46 shots and 44 saves were season highs. We were definitely opportunistic, he said. We capitalized on the few chances we got.Thats a good hockey club over there. They played well. The score doesnt indicate how the game went. Well take the two points, obviously. The Kings owned the puck in the first, outshooting Montreal 14-4. But the Canadiens got the only goal.Doughty had served only four seconds of an interference call when Tomas Plekanec won a draw to the point, and Subbans point shot beat Jones at 8:16 off a deflection in front. Montreal didnt get a shot the rest of the period. The Canadiens had a man advantage to start the second frame and Markov scored on a point shot that was deflected at 1:01. Only 2:44 later, Subban one-timed a drop pass from Dale Weise and saw the puck trickle through Joness pads. Manny Malhotra got his first point in 31 games as a Canadien on the goal.Muzzin scored on the Kings 34th shot at 3:35 of the third when his wrist shot from the point went in off Markovs hand.Desharnais scored his first goal in 13 games since Nov. 15 when he one-timed P.A. Parenteaus pass in on a two-on-one 9:47 into the third.Only 1:01 later, Doughty beat Price cleanly with a shot from the right side.Andrighetto was alone in the right circle to swipe in Michael Bournivals pass at 13:59. The Swiss rookie has one point in each of his first three NHL games. Sekac got another at 15:26 on a bad-angled shot with Jones down.Sometimes quality over quantity is more important, said price. Tonight was one of those instances where they got a lot of so-called stat-padders. But for the most part, I thought we did a good job of picking up the rebounds in front. They didnt get a whole lot of second chances. Notes: Jones shutout streak lasted 154 minutes 17 seconds. . . Jones made 31 saves when the Kings won 6-0 on their last visit to Montreal last December. . . Parenteau went off for repairs late in the first period after being clipped in an eye by Marian Gaboriks stick, but was back to start the second. . . Montreals Brandon Prust got an assist in his 400th NHL game. He has 31 goals, 98 points and 907 penalty minutes. . . . The Chinese pair scored 67.69 points to edge out world bronze medallists Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford into second place with 66.07. "Weve never won this event and this is our last season, so it will be our last chance," the 34-year-old Tong said through a translator. "As its the last time, its also a little bit nostalgic. The crowd is always very welcoming here." The Canadians were among the favourites but Duhamel landed heavily early on when attempting a triple lutz. They led after the short at Skate Canada last month but slipped from first to third after a flawed free skate. "We felt that we skated the program better than we did at Skate Canada," Duhamel said. "Obviously theres a big mistake and thats three years in a row where we find ourselves second after the short program so I guess thats our place. We will do better in the long program and I will land a triple lutz." Competing in their first Grand Prix of the season, Russians Vera Bazarova and Yuri Larionov are in third place with 65.67. "I made a mistake on the jump, which was unexpected," Bazarova said through a translator. Later, three-time world champion Patrick Chan faces rising Chinese star Yan Han. "The Abbey and Canadas national open golf championship share a special connection and we are pleased to continue that legacy in 2015." The PGA Tour event will be played July 23-26, 2015. This years tournament is set for July 24-27 at The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Ile-Bizard, Que. SINGAPORE -- Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel recorded yet another start-to-finish win at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday to further extend his lead in the Formula One championship. The German was in a class of his own under the Marina Bay lights, winning by a massive 32.6 seconds over Fernando Alonso and boosting his championship lead on the Ferrari driver from 53 points to 60 with six races remaining. "We are in a very good position. To be honest I am not looking at the championship too much," Vettel said. "I am just enjoying it at the moment. Days like today and yesterday are what it is all about." Lotus Kimi Raikkonen was third, ahead of the Mercedes pair Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in fourth and fifth respectively. Starting in pole, Vettel lost the lead at the first corner to Rosberg but took it back as the Mercedes driver ran wide at turn two. Even a safety car period just before half distance, which eroded his 12-second lead, could not prevent another Vettel victory. "The start was quite hairy, Nico had a good start, but fortunately he went a little too deep and I was able to get him back," Vettel said. "With the safety car, it was difficult but we came back ... we had very, very good pace." Red Bull teammate Mark Webber had sharply different fortunes in the race. As the Australian was threatening Raikkonen in the closing stages, he experienced an engine failure that saw him pull off the track with his car in flames on the closing lap. Webber hitched a ride back to the pits on the sideboard of Alonsos Ferrari, and that was enough for both drivers to receive a reprimand from stewards as three cars had to take evasive action as the Ferrari stopped and the Red Bull man clambered on board. For Webber, the reprimand has serious consequences because it is his third of the season, meaning he will receive a 10-place penalty on the grid at the next race in South Korea. Alonso was in a generous mood after an impressive showing. The Spaniard got a superb start, going around the outside of several drivers to vault from seventh to third after two corners, and capitalized on the emergence of the safety car by pitting for hiis final stop, taking on a set of the harder tires which he drove for the last 36 of 61 laps. Authentic T. J. Leaf Jersey. "We knew we didnt have the pace today, we had to invent something," Alonso said. "I had a good start and a different strategy ... it tastes like a victory to us." Raikkonens participation in the race had been in doubt due to a back injury that affected him badly in Saturdays qualifying, but the Finn sliced his way through the field in the latter half of the race to move up from 10th to a podium finish. "Luckily not too much (pain during the race) but now, afterwards, its not 100 per cent but I have time to rest and get it right," Raikkonen said. "Third place -- we could not have expected any more today." Ferraris Felipe Massa was sixth, ahead of the McLaren pair Jenson Button and Sergio Perez in seventh and eighth respectively, with Saubers Nico Hulkenberg and Force Indias Adrian Sutil completing the top ten. Vettels victory was his third in a row in Singapore, his seventh of the season, and 33rd of his career, moving him out of a tie with Alonso and into outright fourth place on the all-time list behind Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Vettel also won from pole in the previous F1 race in Italy and took the lead on the opening lap of the Belgian GP, meaning he has now led effectively from start to finish in three successive races. With such dominance over his dispirited rivals, only an extraordinary turnaround can prevent Vettel winning a fourth-straight championship, joining Schumacher and Juan Manuel Fangio as the only men to achieve that feat. Ferrari had said prior to the race that the result in Singapore would determine whether to continue development of the car or to turn all resources to the radically redesigned 2014 vehicle. Alonsos second placing will likely be enough to keep Ferraris mind on this year, but the Spaniard was realistic about his fading title hopes. "The gap is still increasing every weekend and now its 60 points," Alonso said. "We need to be honest with ourselves. We need a lot of luck every weekend if we are one second (per lap) off their pace." cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

    • TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Utah Jazz Jerseys . -- One thing quarterback AJ McCarron and No. 1 Alabama wont stand for is being labeled something as mundane as "the red team." They prefer the defending national champions, thank you. The Crimson Tide hammered that point home with Saturdays 45-10 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers, who used that anonymous label as a motivational ploy during the week. McCarron said he took that personally and "wanted to come out and score as many points as possible on them" and not leave the game whatever the score. "For (them) to kind of say we havent deserved their respect to call us Alabama, they call us Red Team," McCarron said. "And for their head coach to come out and say they can play against anybody, I dont think were just anybody. "We won two national championships in a row and were undefeated right now. So were not just anybody." Indeed, Alabama (8-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) has outscored its last six opponents 246-26. T.J. Yeldon scored on three 1-yard runs and McCarron completed 19 of 27 passes for 275 yards and two first-half touchdowns for the Tide, which raced to a 35-0 halftime lead in a thoroughly one-sided rivalry game. Landon Collins returned an interception 89 yards for another score. McCarron threw for a 54-yard touchdown to Amari Cooper and a 22-yarder to Kevin Norwood. It was Coopers longest catch of the season and only his second touchdown. The Volunteers (4-4, 1-3) dropped their seventh straight in the rivalry, tying the most consecutive defeats for either team. They couldnt build on the momentum from an upset of No. 20 South Carolina that snapped a 19-game skid against ranked teams. "We probably played our worst half of football we played all year," Tennessee coach Butch Jones said. "Some of that was due to the quality of our opponent and some of that was self-inflicted wounds." Tennessee also won seven in a row from 1995-2001, but Jones program clearly has plenty of catching up to do. Jones might have gotten a head start when he turned to freshman quarterback Josh Dobbs to open the second half in his first college action, replacing a struggling Justin Worley. Worley, who hurt his thumb last week, was 8-of-15 passing for 120 yards and was intercepted twice, including the pick-six to Collins. "(Worley) could have went, but it was hard for him to throw with any velocity, so instead of risking further injury we went with Josh," Jones said. "For a true freshman, playing for the first time in this kind of environment I thought he did very well." Dobbs didnt make Tennessees last road trip to Florida, and seemed destined for a redshirt season. He did seem to provide a second-half spark. Dobbs completed 5 of 12 passes for 75 yards, ran three times for 19 yards. Fellow freshman Marquez North, who helped set up the game-winning score against South Carolina, gained 87 yards on four catches. Rajion Neal ran for 70 yards on 13 carries. Alabamas Kenyan Drake ran for 89 yards on 14 carries while Yeldon ran 15 times for 72 yards in his first three-touchdown game. Kevin Norwood caught six passes for 112 yards, including an acrobatic grab while falling backward in a catch coach Nick Saban called "unbelievable." The Tide, which earlier had a 104-0 scoring binge ended, had allowed only nine points in its first four home games. Neals 3-yard run early in the fourth quarter was the first touchdown Alabama had allowed at Bryant-Denny Stadium this season. "We knew Tennessee was a team that could play with anybody in the country," Saban said. "I think it was a challenge for our guys to prove who we were and how we could play against them." Dobbs didnt complete a pass on his first drive but Neals 43-yard run set up Michael Palardys field to snap Alabamas string of unanswered points. That was the fifth-biggest such streak in Tide history, going back to the third quarter of the Kentucky game on Oct. 12. Tennessee did have early scoring chances. Worley misfired on fourth-and-7 from Alabamas 34. He led the Vols to the Tide 24 late in the first half but Collins then returned an interception the distance in the final seconds. Collins took over the starting spot this week when Vinnie Sunseri went down with a season-ending knee injury against Arkansas. Alabama starting nose tackle Brandon Ivory missed the game for unspecified medical reasons. Saban said running back Jalston Fowler sustained a concussion in the first half, and he didnt return. Saban had urged early-departing students to stick around for the full game. One responded with a sign saying, "Well stay for 60 if you stay forever." "That sounds good to me," responded Saban, the subject of job rumours each off-season. "Im too damn old to go someplace else and start over, I can tell you that." Jonas Jerebko Jersey .com) - Tonight will go a long way in determining the two wild card spots in the Eastern Conference. Custom Utah Jazz Jerseys . Many observers quickly deemed the question sexist, with some asking whether a similar query would ever be put to a male athlete. The exchange attracted even more attention because Bouchard, apparently caught off guard by the question, blurted out an unexpected response on live TV: "Um, Justin Bieber?" Her reference to the Canadian pop star seemed to be tongue-in-cheek. Bouchard, who will represent Canada at this weekends Federation Cup in Montreal, said Wednesday she thought the question was all in good fun and she was happy to play along. "I think it was a fine question, you know, I think its entertainment for the fans," Bouchard said when asked at a Fed Cup news conference if she thought the Australian Open question was sexist. "It was actually a fan question, so at the end of the day, its for the fans and, if thats what theyre curious about, well thats fine by me." The No. 19-ranked Bouchard said she might like to know more herself about who, for example, a certain soccer player would want to date. Sometimes, she added, it can be fun to handle questions about something other than tennis because the answers might interest a broader audience. When asked if she thought a male athlete might receive a similar question, Bouchard didnt directly respond, saying the fact shes a younger player might explain why she got such a query. "You know, they wouldnt ask Roger Federer that question -- obviously, hes married and has kids," she said, referring to the 32-year-old Swiss tennis legend. "But I dont know, maybe, I think they should (ask) other single tennis players. Why not?" The question came after Bouchard, who was the 30th seed at the Australian Open, completed a stunning 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 upset of former world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic. The victory made her the first Canadian to reach the semis at a Grand Slam since Carling Bassett-Seguso at the 1984 U.S. Open. Bouchards impressive run in Melbourne came to an end a couple of days later when she lost 6-2, 6-4 to fourth-seeded Li Na of China in the semifinal. But her accomplishments caught the attention of tennis fans in Canada and abroad, including a group of a dozen or so raucous Aussies who became her unofficial cheering section at every match. The group, which dubbed itself the "Genie Army," wore T-shirts that spelled her name, belted out cheers composed just for her and tossed stuffed animals to her on the court following each of her appearances. Bouchard was asked Wednesday about how much things have changed since her emergence at the Australian Open, where some commentators called her next big thing in womens tennis and a potential future Grand Slam tournament champion. "For sure theres been more attention and I think it comes with the job," said Bouchard, who added that more people now recognize her on the street. "It just shows, you know, if you have success on court, youll get attention off the court. But my first priority is tennis and I focus on that and make sure I get everything I need to do done. "And then if theres other attention off the court, well, thats a good thing." Asdrubal Cabrera Jersey . If Vettel wins at Suzuka on Sunday, and his nearest rival Fernando Alonso finishes worse than eighth, the German driver will join his compatriot Michael Schumacher and Argentine Juan-Manuel Fangio as the only men to win four consecutive titles. Jose Reyes Jersey . Rockies manager Walt Weiss was unhappy, too. Weiss addressed the issue in a 15-minute meeting with his pitcher and catcher after the Rockies gave up 14 hits and lost 10-1. De La Rosa lasted only 4 1-3 innings and allowed five runs in his first opening-day start.KANSAS CITY, Mo. - All-Star closer Greg Holland could be available for the Kansas City Royals this weekend after dealing with some tightness in his right arm, while left-hander Danny Duffy was awaiting word from doctors before beginning to throw again. The Royals lead the AL Central by one game over Detroit. Royals manager Ned Yost said before Thursday nights game against Boston that Holland felt good after throwing Monday. Holland plannned to play catch and would be available if all went well. Pedro Martinez Jersey. Holland has not pitched since saving a 4-1 win over Texas on Sept. 3. Wade Davis picked up three saves in his place during the Royals recent six-game road trip. Right-hander Liam Hendriks made a spot start Thursday night for Duffy, who left his previous outing after one pitch with soreness in his left shoulder. • CHICAGO -- Alejandro De Aza hit a two-run homer and Adam Eaton and Marcus Semien had two-run doubles, leading the Chicago White Sox to a 7-3 comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night. Cortez Kennedy Jersey . White Sox slugger Jose Abreu, named American League co-player of the week earlier in the day, went 2 for 4 with a walk and an RBI, his 32nd. But it was the lesser trio that did most of the damage, driving in five of the seven runs. The White Sox (14-13) move above .500 by taking three of four from Tampa. It was Chicagos third series win this season. Andre Rienzo (2-0) allowed five hits and three runs -- two earned -- in six innings to get the win. Jake Odorizzi (1-3) allowed eight hits and four runs in 4 1-3 innings to get the loss. Tampa Bay quickly jumped on top with a pair of runs in the first inning. Lead-off hitter Ben Zobrist doubled and scored as Rienzo threw away a sacrifice bunt attempt by Desmond Jennings. Rienzo was credited with two errors on the play. The first error was for not picking the ball up cleanly and the second was for throwing it down the right field line. The oddities continued as the No. 3 hitter, Matt Joyce, drove home Jennings from second base on a sacrifice fly to centre. Eaton, the Chicago centre fielder, made a great leaping catch before crashing into the wall. He was a little shaken on the play and threw the ball while sitting on the ground. By the time the White Sox got the ball back in, Jennings had easily raced home. The White Sox struck back in the bottom of the second. Adam Dunn led off with a single and trotted home on a two-out homer by De Aza to tie the score. In the top of the fourth, David DeJesus doubled in Wil Myers for a 3-2 Tampa Bay lead, but Chicago answered with two in the bottom half to take a 4-3 lead. Alexei Ramirez tripled home Dayan Viciedo with none out to tie it. Two outs later, Semien hit a two-out double to snap the tie. Ten of Semiens 15 RBIs this season have come with two outs. Chicago broke the game open in the sixth. Eaton doubled in a pair of runs to make it 6-3. Abreus run-scoring single in the eighth capped the scoring. NOTES: Rays OF David DeJesus continues to battle left shoulder soreness and was the DH again Monday. . Theres still no timetable for the return of Chicago LHP Chris Sale (flexor muscle strain). "Hes playing catch, hes loosening up (and) feeling better each day," pitching coach Don Cooper said. . Kevin Durant scored 19 points and Reggie Jackson netted 13 in the winning cause. Russell, thats the thing, he is so good offensively, but he is also a great defender, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. OKC has won four in a row and six of the last seven games, and is 4-1 since Durants return from offseason foot surgery. Oklahoma City, which has scored 100 or more points in two straight and five of the previous six games, has won two in a row on the road, but is only 3-8 as the guest. The Timberwolves will resume a four-game homestand (1-1) Friday and stopped a six-game slide with Wednesdays 90-82 triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers. Rookie Andrew Wiggins posted the firsst double-double of his career with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Corey Brewer scored 19 points and Thaddeus Young chipped in 13. Simeon Thomas Jersey. They offered me three years which is a good show of faith on their behalf, said Forrester. At first it was a slow start for myself, catching up with the boys on fitness and the team were doing so well. I wasnt playing at my previous club, so I had to catch up on fitness and sharpness. And then coming to Rangers is pressure in itself. You have 50,000 every week cheering you on. • Those 36-year-old legs of Manu Ginobilis have been feeling pretty spry this season. Stitched Athletics Jerseys . That spring in his step that had been missing for so much of last season was back, helping the Argentine magician become a game-changer again for the San Antonio Spurs. So when the lane opened up in the third quarter Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets, Ginobili decided to go for it. He rose up, cradled the ball in his left hand and threw down a solid, one-handed dunk. And with that, Ginobili joined the growing list of injured Spurs. The team said Wednesday that Ginobili strained his left hamstring on the dunk and will miss the next three to four weeks. Ginobili joins Danny Green (broken finger), Kawhi Leonard (broken left hand) and Tiago Splitter (sprained right shoulder) on the teams injured list, a run of bad luck that has torn apart the teams depth, particularly on the wing. "You play the guys on the bench," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. "We cant play the guys on the other team. I know that." The team is hopeful Splitter, who hasnt played since Jan. 4, will return in time for the teams annual rodeo road trip, a 10-game stint that begins Monday in New Orleans. That would help out Tim Duncan and the big men up front, but the problems on the perimeter remain. After struggling for much of last season, Ginobili signed a two-year contract to remain in San Antonio. He has rebounded this season to resume his role as the Spurs playmaker off the bench, averaging 12.1 points, 4.5 assists and shooting 52 per cent on his 2-point shots. During a monthlong stretch from the middle of December to the middle of January, Ginobili scored at least 20 points five times in a 16-game span to help the Spurs once again establish themselves among the NBAs elite teams. Hes been pretty healthy as well, missing two games earlier in January because of a sore left hamstring before injuring it more severely on Tuesday night. Ginobili, who has long been the emotional centre of this close-knit team, was dejected as he limped off the court. His injury puts even more responsibility on the shoulders of veteran Marco Belinelli, who has been a reliable shooter in a supporting role after coming over in free agency from the Chicago Bulls. Belinelli is averaging 10.9 points and shooting 46.7 per cent from 3-point range for the Spurs. With the injuries to Leonard and Green, Belinelli had become a starter on the wing and seen his playing time steadily increase. Belinelli played 38 minutes in the loss to Houston, and the Spurs recently signed NBDL standout Othyus Jeffers to a 10-day contract to give them another warm body on the perimeter. Thanks in large part to Ginobilis return to form, the Spurs entered Wednesdays game against the Bulls at 33-12, good for second place in the hyper-competitive Western Conference. But theyve lost three of their last four games, are 1-11 against the top seven teams in the league and now face the daunting challenge of that long road trip without Ginobili, and with Portland (33-13) and the Clippers (32-15) right on their heels. Chicago is facing its own injuries woes. All-Star point guard Derrick Rose was lost for the season with a knee injury for the second consecutive year and starting centre Joakim Noah (illness) and guard Kirk Hinrich (right hamstring) are game-time decisions for tonights game against San Antonio. So, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said he has little empathy for the Spurs, not because Chicago is also battling injuries, but because of how deep San Antonio is. "Its the nature of the league. Its the grind of an 82-game season. Youre going to take injuries on. Its how you respond and the Spurs have always done a good job with that. Its the way the Spurs are built." Wholesale Athletics Jerseys . -- Blake Griffin scored 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds, DeAndre Jordan had 14 points and 22 rebounds and the Los Angeles Clippers outlasted the Golden State Warriors 98-96 on Thursday night to take a 2-1 lead in their first-round series. Athletics Mark Canha Jersey . -- Billy Donovans bench came up big, bailing out top-seeded Florida in a tight game against what was supposed to be an overmatched opponent.SEATTLE – After a minor setback, back tightness, pushed his expected return back one day, Adam Lind is scheduled to return to the Blue Jays lineup in time for Tuesday nights game in Seattle. Linds bat has been sorely missed against right-handed pitching. Hes posted a .369/.434/.570 slash line against righties. Each of his four home runs and 17 total extra-base hits has come off right-handers. The news is almost as positive on Encarnacion. He will begin a minor league rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday night. The Blue Jays are targeting Friday night in Chicago for Encarnacions return. Despite missing more than five weeks with a quadriceps strain, Encarnacions 26 home runs rank as the fifth-most in baseball this season. MILLS ONE AND DONE Left-hander Brad Mills, added to the roster to offer the Blue Jays bullpen depth, pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief of Drew Hutchison in Mondays 11-1 loss to the Mariners. He allowed five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two. Mills was designated for assignment after the game, a move which removes him from the 40-man roster. In two appearances with the Blue Jays this season (the other, two innings of eight-run ball on July 21 versus Boston), Mills has pitched to an ERA of 27.00. THE DAY AFTER THE EVENING BEFORE Chad Jenkins six innings of work on Sunday marked his longest outing of the season. He threw 73 pitches, tying his second-highest total of the year. During one of his on option stints with Triple-A Buffalo, Jenkins was a starter. He threw a season-high 82 pitches over 5 1/3 innings on May 29. His other 73-pitch appearance came in the game prior, a five inning outing. "A little sore. My backs a little tight. The plane ride obviously didnt help much (Sunday) night," said Jenkins. "Other than that I feel great. I threw today. My arm feels fantastic. Hopefully Ill be ready to go in a couple of days." Never before had the Blue Jays played in a 19-inning game. Never before had the franchise competed for more than six hours in a single day. "Its more fun to know that Im part of Blue Jays history," said Jenkins. "(Pitching coach) Pete (Walker) came in and hes like, Hey, you broke my record. Im like, What record? and he goes, I was the winning pitcher for the longest game and he goes I threw four innings in relief so you not only one-upped me but you did it in a longer game." Just to correct the record, Walker pitched the final three innings of thee Blue Jays 18-inning, 2-1 win over the Angels on July 28, 2005. Athletics Jorge Mateo Jersey. Aaron Loup pitched the final inning and got the win in the franchises only other 18-inning game, a 4-3 win over Texas on June 8, 2013. Brad Lincoln had pitched the previous four innings. Jenkins is on his fifth recall of the season. Hes spent more time driving the QEW between Toronto and Buffalo than anyone would care to. Following Sundays game, with the bullpen used up, it would have made business sense to option Jenkins to Buffalo for a fresh arm. The club did add left-hander Brad Mills to the roster on Monday but at the expense of infielder Ryan Goins. "After (Sundays) game, you send him down, that can be a morale killer," said manager John Gibbons. "You know, (with) what he did for the guys." "Its a huge confidence boost to know that Gibby and Pete and all those guys were fighting for me. They wanted me to stay," said Jenkins. "Its a huge pick-me-up because I was sitting there thinking in the bullpen, Well, Im definitely going to get sent down after this game so I might as well go out with a bang. It was nice. We got the W and I got to make a plane flight." DICKEY WAS NEXT Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey would have been the Blue Jays next pitcher had Sundays marathon with the Tigers gone to a 20th inning. "Its been a while since I came out of the pen so I just got myself as hot as I could get myself and just shut it down and was going to start playing catch again with two outs," said Dickey. "But when we got first and third with nobody out (in the 19th), I just was hoping, hoping, and we did. We pulled it off." Dickeys last relief appearance came in his 2012 Cy Young season with the Mets. It didnt go well. He pitched the ninth inning of an 8-5 loss to the Dodgers at Citi Field on July 21 of that year, giving up two runs. Having started on Friday, Sunday was Dickeys bullpen day. He threw his side session prior to the game and also did a heavy weight lift. Hed have done his best. Maybe hed have felt less pressure entering a situation with which he was unaccustomed? Take the "nothing to lose" mentality? "Thats one way to go," said Dickey. "Or the other way is, my teammates have just busted their ass for 19 innings and its up to you now, off the bench cold, to try to help out. There are a bunch of mindsets to try to cling on to. You try to cling to the one that gets you to your happy place." cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseyscheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

The rookie manager has made a habit of heaping praise on others when things are going well, and accepting criticism when they arent.  But in the case of Hurtado, its what the coach is NOT saying that may be the secret to a superb run of form.EDMONTON - It was one of those games where they could have just shaken hands at the half.Mike Reilly ran in a pair of quarterback keepers as the Edmonton Eskimos secured a playoff spot, destroying the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 41-9 on Monday. With the win, the Eskimos improved to 10-5, the 38th 10-plus win season in franchise history.Reilly said it was nice to get the playoff berth locked down, although it is a home date that the squad is really seeking. It was one of our goals, for sure, so weve achieved that. But theres a lot of goals left on that board as well and next week now becomes an even bigger game and theyre all just going to continue to be like that the rest of the year, he said. Were happy that we clinched, but thats not where the goals for our season end. Weve got a lot of work left to do, but its a lot better feeling than it was about a year ago around here. The Eskimos led 37-0 at the half and head coach Chris Jones said it was a fine line between continuing to work on what the team needs to and running up the score.I told Mike (Reilly) at halftime, just run the plays like its 0-0 because were ramping up trying to get into the playoffs and make sure that were clicking, he said. We werent ever trying to run up the score and embarrass an opponent. Especially (Winnipeg head coach) Mike OShea, hes a good friend of mine. The Blue Bombers lost their sixth straight and seventh of their last eight games to fall to 6-9 after a 5-1 start to the season. It was a horrible feeling getting down that bad, said Bombers slotback Nick Moore. Weve had a lot of tough games and close games that we have lost. I dont really know what has happened.OShea said his team was simply slow off the start, and are in a precarious position as a result.I felt that we didnt have the right stuff, the right plan, he said. I thought we were out-coached in the first half. In all three phases, it seemed like nothing we were doing offensively was working. The players are frustrated enough to try and make a change. They understand that these are all must-win games for us now. We have to win our next three. The Eskimos struck first with six minutes remaining in the opening quarter as they marched competently downfield before capping off the drive on a one-yard keeper by backup quarterback Pat White to make it 7-0.A minute later the Eskimos had the ball back in scoring position as Bombers back Paris Cotton was stripped of the ball by Almondo Sewell and Edmontons Alonzo Lawrence scooped it up at the Winnipeg 29-yard line. The turnover led to a 21-yard Hugh ONeill field goal.Winnipegs offence for the first quarter was minus one yard.Edmonton increased its lead to 14-0 on a missed field goal early in the second quarter and a successful 33-yard kick six minutes in.The Blue Bombers looked to have caught a break with six minutes remaining as Edmonton punt returner Kendial Lawrence fumbled on his own 22-yard line with Winnipegs Carl Volny recovering. However, on the next play, Odell Willis stripped the ball out of quarterback Drew Willys hands and it bounnced around until it was picked up by Dexter McCoil who escaped several tackle attempts in an improbable 88-yard run into the end zone to put the Eskimos up 21-0. Mets Seth Lugo Jersey. It was Edmontons seventh defensive touchdown this season. The Eskimos kept coming and added to their totals with just under three minutes left in the first half as starting quarterback Reilly scored on a one-yard plunge. Just 10 seconds later, McCoil sacked Willy in the end zone for a safety to make it 30-0.Winnipeg continued to take costly penalties and were flagged for pass interference on Fred Stamps, leading to another one-yard Reilly touchdown plunge with four seconds remaining in the first half to make it 37-0.Edmonton had 217 yards in net offence and 20 first downs to Winnipegs 27 yards and two first downs in the opening half.Willy did not return for the second half as the Bombers QB was listed as having an upper body injury. Brian Brohm came in as his replacement. We just went out there in the second half and had to play like it was 0-0, Brohm said. We had to play our game and keep fighting. We had to play for pride. I think we did a better job doing that, playing hard in the second half. We just didnt have it for the win.The Eskimos added to their lead on the first possession in the second half on a 16-yard ONeill field goal. The Blue Bombers finally avoided the shutout midway through the third quarter on a 43-yard field goal by Lirim Hajrullahu, who added another 31-yarder with just over a minute left to make it 40-6. Edmonton responded with a punt single to start the fourth.Winnipeg added a 26-yard field goal five minutes into the fourth, the final scoring play of the game. The Blue Bombers return home to entertain the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday. The Eskimos hit the road to face the Roughriders in Saskatchewan on Sunday.Notes: Edmonton won the previous meeting between the two teams 26-3 on July 17 in Winnipeg… The Eskimos came into the game tied with Hamilton for the most wins on Thanksgiving Monday (1957-2013) in league history, each having recorded 17 holiday game victories… Edmonton running back John White missed some practice time during the week due to a hand injury, but was able to start… The Bombers were without one of their top offensive linemen in Glenn January, out with a back injury. Winnipeg also made a couple of key players healthy scratches in an attempt to shake things up, sitting out their top receiver from the past month in Aaron Kelly and the leagues touchdown and yards from scrimmage leader, Nic Grigsby…. The Bombers entered the contest having lost six of their last seven, despite having had the lead in 11 of their last 13 games… Eskimos DE Odell Willis played in his 100th career CFL game… The Eskimos honoured a pair of legendary offensive linemen from the five-in-a-row Grey Cup days, enshrining Hector Pothier and the late Bill Stevenson on the wall of honour at Commonwealth Stadium. • OAKLAND, Calif. Authentic Eric Bledsoe Jersey . -- When the Seattle Mariners were in the midst of a recent eight-game losing streak, manager Lloyd McClendon reminded his players such stretches happen, and they will happen again. Then he challenged them to respond in a positive way. The club is now doing a little bit of everything right to get back on track. Rookie Roenis Elias struck out six while pitching into the seventh to win consecutive starts for the first time, Justin Smoak drove in three runs and the Mariners beat the Oakland Athletics 8-3 on Tuesday night for their season-best fourth straight victory. "Its been something incredible," Elias said. "Everybodys together doing their job. I like my team how theyre playing baseball." Smoak hit an RBI double and Dustin Ackley a run-scoring single in the first to back Elias (3-2), who followed up a 10-strikeout gem at Yankee Stadium his last time out with another impressive start once he settled down. The Mariners jumped on Jesse Chavez (2-1) to take a quick first-inning lead for the second straight game against the As -- and Seattle scored all three of its first-inning runs with two outs on the way to its ninth win in 11 games overall. "We know that were not going to win a playoff spot in April," Michael Saunders said. "However, that being said, losing eight straight was a definite learning experience for us. Its not going to be the last time." Chavez got a scare and escaped injury in the fourth when he saved himself from a hard-hit liner by Saunders by catching the screamer that was going right for his face. "It was all reflexes, I just put my glove up," Chavez said. "As soon as I let go of the pitch I saw him make contact. Ive jumped out of the way at balls at my lower body, but Ive never had one like that at my face before." Making the play knocked him off his feet to end the fourth, and the small Coliseum crowd of 12,106 briefly fell silent. "Luckily no one got hurt. I havent seen the replay but guys said it had a chance to hit him square in the face," Saunders said. Chavez got a double play to face the minimum in the fifth, but his night ended after allowing Mike Zuninos sixth-inning sacrifice fly following a hit batsman and a walk. Oakland No. 9 hitter Nick Punto pulled Oakland back in it with a two-run, two-out single in the second. Yoenis Cespedes, back in the starting lineup after nursing a left hamstring injury, hit a leadoff home run in the sixth. The As squandered a scoring chance in the seventh against Dominic Leone, leaving the tying run on third as they again struggled with runners in scoring position. Elias allowed three runs and five hits with three walks in 6 1-3 innings in his seventh career start. Sean Doolittle struck out all four batters he faced in relief of Chavez. But Seattle added on four unearned runs in the top of the ninth against 2013 AL saves leader Jim Johnson, who was booed off the mound when pulled by manager Bob Melvin as fans headed for the exits. Smoak added a two-run single. For Wednesdays doubleheader, Felix Hernandez will pitch Game 1 for Seattle and Erasmo Ramirez the second. As manager Bob Melvin didnt announce his choice for the nightcap, though Dan Straily pitches the opener. Oakland will make right-hander Arnold Leon its 26th player for the second game but is likely to start Drew Pomeranz since he didnt pitch in relief Tuesday. The 25-year-old Leons family was scheduled to fly in from Mexico for his likely major league debut after nine seasons in the minors. The teams are playing two after an April 4 game was called because of a soggy field that had mistakenly gone without its tarp during a heavy rainstorm. NOTES: Saunders, who came in batting .393 with a homer and five RBIs in seven games batting leadoff, went 0 for 4 atop the order. "I dont like messing with success," McClendon said. "Hes been doing great, weve been doing great. Its kind of hard to change that."... As reliever Eric OFlaherty, on the disabled list since undergoing Tommy John surgery in the off-season, threw a 30-pitch bullpen session and could begin throwing to hitters soon, and Melvin said an announcement on the pitchers next step would come Wednesday. ... Melvin said Triple-A catcher Stephen Vogt, an As playoff star last October currently on Sacramentos disabled list, is close to returning from a strained oblique muscle. 02:32ET 07-05-14 Authentic Khris Middleton Jersey . - San Diego Padres centre fielder Cameron Maybin is going to be out two to three months after rupturing his left biceps tendon during a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. Authentic Matthew Dellavedova Jersey . -- Max Gilbert captured his first pro victory at the Tour Championship of Canada.ABBOTSFORD, B.C. -- The Grand Rapids Griffins made a statement Saturday that the defending American Hockey League champions intend to make another long playoff run. Andrej Nestrasils three-point night helped Grand Rapids to a 7-2 win over the Abbotsford Heat and a 2-0 lead in its best-of-five first-round series. The third-year pro scored his first two career AHL playoff goals and added an assist in the blowout victory. "Hes been good," said Griffins captain Jeff Hoggan. "He was in Toledo (ECHL) last year but hes a skilled player. When we lose guys like (Tomas Tatar) and (Tomas) Jurco, guys who go up to the Red Wings, we need somebody to fill that role and hes done a fantastic job for us." The Griffins now head back home in hopes of a sweep after taking both games at the Abbotsford Centre. The Griffins won 2-1 on Friday in double overtime. "Yesterday was the first game of the playoffs, so everyone was kind of nervous," said Nestrasil. "I felt that sometimes we were trying to make plays, even if they werent there. Today we started a little more simple and it came out of that. We didnt let them shoot. They scored two first-period goals, five shots on net, so were going to try to play better defensively, because when you play well defensively you get the offensive chances after." Ryan Sproul, the Game 1 overtime hero, and Teemu Pulkkinen each had a goal and two assists for Grand Rapids while Trevor Parkes, Cody Emmerton and Hoggan also scored for the visitors, whose parent club Detroit was eliminated from the NHL playoffs and is expected to send some bodies back for Game 3 on Wednesday. "Weve got some talented young guys back there," said Hoggan of rookie defencemen like Sproul. "This is the time when you want to see what theyre all about. Playoff hockey is the toughest hockey. For them to step up, its going to be huge for us to go on and go far. We know theyre capable and theyre doing it at crunch time." Petr Mrazek had to stop just 15 shots, compared to his 55-save performance the night before. Max Reinhart had a goal and an assist for Abbotsford, which may have played its final home game after it was announced last week that the franchise wwill not be back in the city next season. Authentic John Henson Jersey. . Emile Poirier had the other goal, while Joni Ortio stopped 25-of-30 shots before being pulled. Doug Carr mopped up, making 14 saves. Though the Heat were embarrassed on home ice, and cancelled their regular post-game presser, the Griffins know that Game 3 wont be easy. "We have to make sure its hard for them to get opportunities," said Nestrasil. "Every chance, they need to earn it and make sure they have to come through us all the time." Abbotsford opened the scoring at the 7:40 mark of the first. Reinhart stepped into a shot in the high slot. Mrazek kicked it right to Poirier, who quickly brought the puck to his forehand and snapped it blocker side for his first professional playoff goal. The visitors, however, tied the game not long after. Mattias Janmark drove hard to the net and centred for Parkes, who chipped it by Ortio for his first AHL playoff goal at 10:13. The Heat regained the lead with a power-play goal at 15:32. Reinhart tried to centre for Ben Hanowski but it ricocheted off the skate of Brennan Evans. Just 35 seconds later the Griffins again drew even when Sprouls one-timer from the point was deflected by Nestrasil. Grand Rapids scored a short-handed goal late in the first to take their first lead. Emmerton made a move around one defender, then fought off another and chipped the puck past Ortio while falling to his backside, giving Detroits 2006 second-round selection his first AHL playoff goal in five years. Hoggan doubled the lead two minutes into the second period when he took a cross-ice feed from Pulkkinen and fired a wrist shot over the glove of Ortio, giving him 14 career AHL playoff goals. Nestrasil chased Ortio at 11:19 of the second, snapping a shot short side from a bad angle. "I just wanted to dump the puck in, but nobody came to me," said the Prague native. "I was basically walking into the zone. I just threw it at the net and it went through. Im glad I can score a goal like that. Im glad we scored a lot of goals because it gives the guys confidence." Sproul scored a power-play goal at 6:45 of the third and Pulkkinen added another on the power play at 12:09. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseyscheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

    • TOKYO - Canadian star Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer and Chris Capuano pitched five strong innings Sunday as the MLB All-Stars beat Japan 6-1 for the first win of their five-game post-season tour. Authentic Justin Holl Jersey .Morneau, the National League batting champion, drove a pitch from Japan starter Shintaro Fujinami over the wall in right to give his team a 4-1 lead in the third. It was the second homer of the series for Morneau, who also connected for a two-run homer in Game 2.The win provided welcome relief for an MLB team that was no-hit by four Japanese pitchers in a 4-0 loss on Saturday. After getting no-hit yesterday, wanted to come out swinging the bats and we did, said Morneau, a native of New Westminster, B.C. We wanted to come here and represent MLB well. Unfortunately, we didnt do that in the first three games but I think weve gotten better.Evan Longoria added to the lead with a solo homer off Japan reliever Minoru Iwata in the sixth. After losing the first three games of the series and scoring only four runs, the MLB bats came to life in the first inning. Yasiel Puig doubled on a line drive to left and scored on Morneaus double to right. The MLB All-Stars added a run in the eighth when Chris Carter scored from third on Eduardo Nunezs groundout to second.Jose Altuve singled to right off Fujinami and Puig doubled to left in the second to set the stage for Morneaus blast that gave the MLB team all the momentum they needed. The top third of our lineup did an outstanding job, MLB manager John Farrell said. I think eight out of our 10 hits came from Jose, Yasiel and Justin so that was a big part of our win.Capuano picked up the win after holding Japan to one run on four hits while striking out four. Fujinami gave up four runs on five hits over four innings to take the loss.We dropped the first three games but we have a lot of pride and wanted to bounce back tonight, Capuano said. The Japan hitters are very good so I was doing my best to keep them off balance and pitch smart.Japans only run came in the second inning when Nobuhiro Matsuda doubled off Capuano and scored on Yoshitomo Tsutsugos double to centre.Japanese pitching sensation Shohei Otani will take the mound in Game 5 before his home fans at Sapporo Dome. Matt Shoemaker will start for the MLB team. Authentic William Nylander Jersey . Jets head coach Paul Maurice made the announcement Saturday following the morning skate and confirmed Al Montoya will start in goal against the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Authentic Josh Jooris Jersey . Sure, Josh Browns 45-yard field goal on the third drive of overtime lifted the New York Giants to a 23-20 win over Detroit on Sunday. But the Lions (7-8) dropped themselves out of the NFC North race by losing five of their last six games, blowing fourth-quarter leads in each setback.Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - David Pastrnak scored the first two goals of his career to lead the Boston Bruins in a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. Chris Kelly had the other goal and Tuukka Rask stopped 24 shots for the Bruins, who have won their past three. Strong goaltending and a pretty good defense today, said Boston head coach Claude Julien. I thought we played well enough that we deserved to win today and get those two points. Claude Giroux scored the only goal of the game for the Flyers, who had won their previous two. Steve Mason started the game in net for Philadelphia, but left seven minutes into the first period with a right leg injury. He stopped all five shots he faced while Ray Emery allowed three goals on 13 shots in relief. You just want to play solid when you come in that way, said Emery. I thought we played a really good defensive game, controlled the puck for extensive periods of time down there and had our chances. Thats just the way things go sometimes. Skating on the power play in the first period, the Bruins took a 1-0 lead on Pastrnaks first career goal. With Jakub Voracek in the box, Zdeno Chara sent a backhand pass from behind the net to the left circle where Torey Krug got off a one-timer. Emery made the stop, but the rebound sat out front and Pastrnakk backhanded it in at 11:23. Authentic Borje Salming Jersey. The middle stanza passed without a goal, but the Bruins padded their advantage at 4:57 of the third as Pastrnak took a feed in the neutral zone and left a drop pass for David Krejci along the right wing. Charging the net, Pastrnak got the puck back from Krejci for an easy wrister and a 2-0 lead. Philly was skating on a power play when Boston took a 3-0 lead after Loui Eriksson banked the puck off the boards in his own end to create a 2-on-1. Skating down the left wing, Eriksson sent the puck to the other side where Kelly beat Emery high to the short-side for his fifth of the season at 9:51. The Flyers were again on the power play when they finally broke through as Girouxs wrister from the left circle hit off the stick of a Bruin and went past Rask with Wayne Simmonds providing a screen in front and 5:47 showing. Philadelphia pulled Emery with two minutes to play for an extra skater, but was unable to cut into the deficit. Game Notes The Flyers said during the game that Mason will be further evaluated on Sunday ... Philadelphia hosts Tampa Bay on Monday ... Boston hosts Tampa Bay on Tuesday ... The Bruins have won five straight against the Flyers ... Pastrnak was the 25th overall pick of the 2014 draft and was appearing in his seventh game. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseyscheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '
