    • LA QUINTA, Calif. Nike Shoes Wholesale Australia . -- PGA TOUR Canada member Chris Epperson shot a 9-under 63 on Friday on PGA Wests Nicklaus Tournament Course to take a four-stroke lead after the second round of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament. The 31-year-old Epperson, from Hilton Head Island, S.C., had a 16-under 128 total. The players are competing for positions in the Web.com Tours priority ranking used to form tournament fields, with the medallist (or co-medallists ) guaranteed fully exempt status. Every player who is at PGA West is guaranteed a spot on the Web.com Tour next season. The six-round tournament will end Tuesday. "Weve still got a lot of golf left," Epperson said. "Im not going to get ahead of myself. ... Everything seems to be clicking. My tempo is nice. I really didnt have any expectations. The goal was to get a card. Im trying to approach it as any other tournament. My coach and I have been working on our process -- Get your yardage, get your club, focus on your target and just hit it." PGA TOUR Canada members Steve Saunders and Nathan Tyler were tied for second. Saunders had a 65, and Tyler shot 66 -- both on the Nicklaus course. First-round leader Justin Shin of Maple Ridge, B.C., followed his opening 64 on the Nicklaus course with a 74 on the Stadium layout to drop into a tie for 25th at 6 under. Calgarys Roger Sloan and Derek Gillespie of Oshawa, Ont., are also at 6 under. Nike Shox Clearance Sale . No, really, his head. Masahiro Tanaka has touched down in the United States and the courting of the Rakuten Golden Eagles stud pitcher has begun in earnest by a bevy of MLB teams interested in the Japanese ace.Brendan Rodgers signed a new long-term contract as Liverpool manager on Monday, a reward for reviving the fortunes of one of Englands biggest clubs during his two years in charge at Anfield. The 41-year-old Northern Irishman has proved a perfect fit at Liverpool since taking over from Kenny Dalglish in the summer of 2012 and steered the team to an unexpected title challenge in the Premier League last season. The Reds came up short, finishing two points behind Manchester City in second place, but secured a return to the Champions League after a four-year absence and earned admiring glances for their vibrant, attacking style of play. It has prompted Liverpools American owners, Fenway Sports Group, to give Rodgers a fresh contract. "We are very fortunate to have a hugely talented individual leading our football performance and in whom we place our trust to deliver the vision we share for Liverpool," principal owner John Henry and chairman Tom Werner said in a Liverpool statement. "Players and supporters have made it clear how important Brendan is to our success and so to have him commit to us for the long term is a great boost for everyone going forward." Exact details of the new contract were not disclosed. Rodgers has impressed in almost every facet of his job, on and away from the pitch. He is extremely popular with fans for hhis style of football, his tactical awareness, his insistence on giving youth — and English players — a chance and for breathing new life into a club that has suffered in recent years under the weight of financial and ownership problems. Nike Shox Shoes Australia. . He also is well-versed in the clubs storied history, conducting himself perfectly in all the engagements that have come with the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough Stadium tragedy in which 96 Liverpool fans died during a crush at an FA Cup semifinal. The media-friendly Rodgers, meanwhile, has demonstrated that he has a tougher side to him, earning wide praise for the way he handled Luis Suarez last summer when the teams star striker pushed for a move away from Liverpool. Rodgers was also not afraid to quickly jettison Andy Carroll — Liverpools record signing — because the tall striker did not fit into his plans. Rodgers seems the ideal person to lead Liverpool as it seeks to regain the English league trophy the club last won in 1989, for the 18th time. "I am both humbled and privileged to be offered the chance to extend my stay at this great club," Rodgers said. "I am very happy to build on the foundations we have built over the last two years and now we move onto the next phase which I believe will be as exciting, challenging and rewarding." Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Nike NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Nike Basketball Jerseys Hockey Jerseys China Supply Baseball Jerseys Football Jerseys Sale Authentic College Jerseys MLB Jerseys China Stitched Soccer JerseysCheap Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Jerseys ' ' '

    • Australia coach Michael Cheika is happy to talk to Jarryd Hayne if his mission to play Sevens with Fiji at the Olympics falls through. Cheap Nike Free Uk Sale . But Cheika insists he will not go out of his way to woo the former NFL player.Sydney-born Hayne dropped a bombshell earlier this week by quitting the NFL after a single season with the San Francisco 49ers and announcing his bid for the Rio de Janeiro Games. But the former rugby league international has only this weekends London Sevens to impress Fiji coach Ben Ryan and has not yet been guaranteed game-time at the tournament. Jarryd Hayne in action for the San Francisco 49ers against the Pittsburgh Steelers Due to eligibility rules, Haynes selection for Fiji would preclude him from ever playing international rugby for Australia. If Ryan overlooked him, however, Hayne could still play for the Wallabies if he first committed to playing for a local Super Rugby club. And Cheika is confident Hayne could adapt in a similar manner to Israel Folau.Id be lying if I said: Ah, no and tried to play it cool [about Hayne], Cheika said. Australia head coach Michael Cheika is confident Hayne could adapt to Super Rugby Of course hed go well in Super Rugby. Youve seen his form in rugby league before, youve seen what Israel has done in rugby as well, youve seen what many other players who have come across have done. But were going on a strategy more about players who want to come and play rugby. A player will always succeed when they want to come over - not chase them and try and force them to change their mind.Ive only met Jarryd a couple of times, he knows what the games about, he knows what leagues about, hes obviously involved in the Sevens.Hes an achiever and hell succeed in whatever he decides but that choice is totally up to him. Off-Season Game Plan examines a team that is knocking on the door with the top contenders in the Western Conference, but needs something to take the next step forward. A Top-10 puck possession team, the Blues were very good on special teams too (eighth in power play percentage, second in penalty killing percentage), so they didnt have glaring weaknesses going into their first-round series with Chicago. If there was one area of concern, it might have been goaltending, as the Blues finished the year with a .913 save percentage, tied for 13th. They traded for Ryan Miller, in the hopes that he would be the answer, but Miller posted a .901 save percentage in 25 (regular season plus playoff) games with the Blues, which didnt alleviate goaltending concerns and prompted the Blues to re-sign Brian Elliott and mark Jake Allen for promotion. Going with inexpensive goaltending does open up the possibility that the Blues can more readily upgrade their lineup, perhaps with an improvement in the second-line centre spot. While the Blues were tied for sixth in the league with 2.92 goals per game, there is still room to elevate their skill level if they are going to compete with the best. Its not as though the Blues are incapable of competing with their current roster -- they were challenging for first place overall before losing the last six games of the regular season -- but its difficult to justify making no improvements to a team that has made it out of the first round once since 2002. The TSN.ca Rating is an efficiency rating based on per-game statistics including goals and assists -- weighted for strength (ie. power play, even, shorthanded) -- Corsi, adjusted for zone starts, quality of competition and quality of teammates, hits, blocked shots, penalty differential and faceoffs. Generally, a replacement-level player is around a 60, a top six forward and top four defenceman will be around 70, stars will be over 80 and MVP candidates could go over 90. Hard-nosed centre David Backes rebounded from a down season in 2012-2013 with a career-best 0.77 points per game last season, and Backes and Steen were part of an exclusive group to play against high calibre of competition, start more shifts in the defensive zone and finish with better than plus-10 shot attempts per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 play. Hes ever-so-slightly below the best two-way centres in the game because hes good, not great, offensively. T.J. Oshie gained lots of fame for his shootout exploits against Russia in the Olympics, but he had a breakthrough NHL season too, staying healthy enough to set career-highs in goals (21), assists (39) and points (60) while putting up strong possession stats while spending most of his time alongside Backes and Steen. If the Blues have a breakout offensive star in-house, it could be Vladimir Tarasenko, the sturdy winger who has been productive enough, with 62 points in 102 games through his first two seasons, but hes in elite company when it comes to puck possession over that time, with the Blues getting 58.0% of the 5-on-5 shot attempts with Tarasenko on the ice over the last two years. An agitator who is fed defensive zone starts, Maxim Lapierre consistently gets crushed in terms of puck possession. He is one of 13 forwards to have at least 20 goals and 250 penalty minutes over the past three seasons. While his first season in St. Louis wasnt very productive, Magnus Paajarvi played a career-low 10:15 per game and his possession stats were still good enough to believe that the 23-year-old can make it work in a top-nine role. Theres no doubting Ryan Reaves toughness. Hes dropped the gloves 38 times in 194 games over the past four seasons, and while he doesnt always get killed in puck possession, he did last season. Hes a marginal fourth-liner, which makes it a little difficult to justify a four-year contract, so thats a strong commitment from the team. 30-year-old Chris Porter is forever battling to hold a spot in the Blues lineup, playing 143 games over the past four seasons, and he may well be up and down again next season, but hes on a one-way contract, so Porter has a chance to earn regular fourth-line work. While some players endure a sophomore slump, Jaden Schwartz made a quantum leap forward, jumping from 13 points in 45 games as a rookie to 56 points in 80 games last season, putting up stellar possession numbers along the way. His coach compares him to Zach Parise, which is high praise, and reason to think that the Blues would be inclined to sign Schwartz to a long-term contract. Though he has earned his keep as a checking centre, Vladimir Sobotka was given more offensive opportunities last season and came up with a career-high 33 points in 61 games, while playing a career-high 16:45 per game. He also had excellent possession stats. Patrik Berglunds production see-saw was on the down portion last year, which should be reason for optimism next sason, yet he had strong possession numbers last season too. Hes big and skilled, yet hasnt scored more than 40 points in any of the past three years and hes capable of meeting that threshold at the very least. The Blues got a jump on next season by inking Joakim Lindstrom, a 30-year-old forward who had five points in 16 games with Colorado in 2011-2012, but has 137 points in 129 Swedish Hockey League games since. It wouldnt be fair to place high expectations on Lindstrom, but if he improves the forward depth, thats a start. For a team that didnt score enough, the Blues most likely target this summer should be a way to improve their attack. Whether thats a free agent signing like Thomas Vanek or trading for a high-priced centre like Jason Spezza or Eric Staal, its a need that needs to be addressed. The 24-year-old is goign to be in the Norris Trophy discussion for years to come. He may be overshadowed, somewhat, by Pietrangelo, but Kevin Shattenkirk is a terrific puck-moving defenceman, who also has great possession numbers and, over the past three years, his 111 points is tied for 12th among defencemen. After some underwhelming years in Calgary, Jay Bouwmeester had 37 points for the Blues last season, his most 2008-2009 when he was playing in Florida. As always, he played against the oppositions best forwards and, playing for a strong Blues team, actually had positive possession stats too. An easier workload, while playing a career-low 17:56 per game, helped Barret Jackman to a more effective campaign in 2013-2014. The 33-year-old adds toughness in a mind-the-store defensive role. The 18th overall pick in 2007, Ian Cole hasnt been able to hold down a regular role with the Blues. Maybe he fits in the top six with another club, but this isnt an easy lineup for Cole to crack. A rugged defensive defenceman, Roman Polak has limited puck skills and that has resulted in mediocre possession stats that, in relative terms, are notably worse than his teammates. There does seem to be some recognition of the limits to Polaks game, however, as his ice time per game has decreased every season since 2008-2009, going down to 17:20 per game last season. Ankle and hand injuries kept Jordan Leopold out of the lineup for much of the 2013-2014 season, and he didnt play much when he was healthy -- a career-low 15:36 per game. For the first three years of his career, Elliott struggled, but hes been much better -- which facing a lesser workload -- in the past three seasons. Even so, is he good enough to anchor a team with Stanley Cup aspirations? A second-round pick in 2008, Jake Allen has been groomed plenty for an NHL job, spending four seasons in the AHL, with a 15-game stint in St. Louis in 2012-2013. He has a .917 save percentage in 172 AHL games, including .928 in 52 games last season, so the 23-year-old is ready for his chance to play in the NHL regularly. Top Prospects Player Pos. With 19 goals and 38 points in 51 (regular season plus playoff) AHL games, Jaskin is likely ready to make the jump. Also a second-round pick from 2011 (nine spots ahead of Jaskin), Ty Rattie showed that his junior goal-scoring exploits were no fluke. After scoring 144 goals in 173 (regular season plus playoff) games in his last two WHL seasons, Rattie notched 31 goals in 72 AHL games as a rookie pro. He could use further development, and get stronger, but his offensive skill could accelerate his timeline. Its been a long, sometimes uneven road for top goalie prospect Jake Allen, yet hes still just 23. If, as expected, he starts the year in St. Louis, the next question will be how long before he takes over the starters role? Drafted with a second-round pick in 2011, Joel Edmundson is a 6-foot-4 defensive defenceman who had a solid first pro season in Chicago and may be as close as any Blues blueline prospect to getting called up. Taken in the second round of last summers draft, Tommy Vannelli is an offensive defenceman who had a nice year in the WHL. He needs to refine his game, improving his play without the puck, but Vannellis skating presents upside. Drafted in the first round, 25th overall, in 2012, Jordan Schmaltz has been making progress at North Dakota, and will continue there. He may not have first-round pedigree, but hes a fine puck-moving prospect. A third-round pick in 2012, Colton Parayko is a puck-moving defenceman with good size. Hes 6-foot-6 and has improved in two years at Alaska. Blocked for AHL playing time by Allen, Jordan Binnington spent his first pro year in the ECHL, and played well enough that the 2011 third-round pick ought to get his AHL shot next season. 6-foot-5 defenceman Jani Hakanpaa was a fourth-round pick in 2010 and has made the move to North America, putting up a dozen points in 68 AHL games. A disturber drafted in the fourth round last summer, Zach Pochiro needs to get stronger, but had a fine year in the WHL last season and will get to see if he can agitate in the same manner as a pro. Picked in the sixth round in 2011, Ryan Tesink has had trouble staying healthy, but can skate and has enough skill to warrant watching his progress. •  It was a night for NHL teams to even up their respective playoff series, as the Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks all won to get their series to 2-2. Air Jordan Shoes For Sale Australia . Scott Cullen has notes on Brandon Dubinsky, Jack Johnson, Shawn Horcoff, Alex Goligoski, Patrick Kane, Ben Smith and more.   MY MORNING JACKETS The Pittsburgh Penguins coughed up a 3-0 lead and lost 4-3 in overtime to the Columbus Blue Jackets, leaving the series tied at two games apiece. To this point in the series, the most valuable Blue Jacket has been C Brandon Dubinsky who, in addition to spending his time matched up against Penguins star C Sidney Crosby, Dubinsky contributed a goal and an assist, giving him a team-leading six points in the series. Dubinsky has earned a reputation as a solid two-way forward who can play tough minutes, facing top-tier opposition but, in this series, hes been more assertive offensively and thats the kind of performance that the Blue Jackets need to knock off the higher-seeded Penguins. Crosby was held off the scoresheet, and had a negative Corsi, for the first time in the series in Game Four. Blue Jackets C Ryan Johansen had a goal and an assist, giving him five points in four games, and his line -- with rookie LW Boone Jenner and journeyman RW Jack Skille -- got the better of Pittsburghs second line of Evgeni Malkin, Jussi Jokinen and James Neal. Penguins G Marc-Andre Fleury was having a decent game, but turned the puck over leading to Dubinskys tying goal, then the winning goal was a 65-foot wrist shot from Blue Jackets LW Nick Foligno. Considering Fleurys dubious playoff history, he and the Penguins cant afford to have those kinds of gaffes appear with the game on the line. Blue Jackets D Jack Johnson played a game-high 31:12, mostly against Crosby, and, for the first time in the series, was break-even in terms of shot attempts for and against during 5-on-5 play. Score effects or not, given that they were chasing for much of the game, the Blue Jackets will take it. For the fourth consecutive game, Penguins D Paul Martin recorded a pair of assists. He has eight points to lead all playoff scorers. Blue Jackets D James Wisniewski also had a pair of assists and had nine unblocked shot attempts, his first points of the series, and had a game-high plus-15 Corsi. With the series even, the Blue Jackets arent carrying play, but theyre not getting dominated either. If G Sergei Bobrovsky can give them a few solid games, they can put pressure on Fleury and the Penguins. SHOOTING STARS The Dallas Stars evened their series with the Anaheim Ducks, taking Game Four by a 4-2 score, rallying to score four unanswered goals after falling behind 2-0. Anaheim came into the game with some lineup changes, making veteran RW Teemu Selanne a healthy scratch, and then missing C Ryan Getzlaf due to an upper-body injury. As a result, C Rickard Rakell and RW Emerson Etem were inserted into the lineup. Dallas line of Shawn Horcoff, Vernon Fiddler and Colton Sceviour was particularly effective. Horcoff and Fiddler each had two points and the trio was on for more than two-thirds of even strength shot attempts. Ducks D Francois Beauchemin, who played a team-high 27:14, got eaten up in terms of puck possession, finishing minus-14 (29.4% Corsi%) On the other hand, Stars D Alex Goligoski logged 32:48, scored a goal and, through the first four games, is running a 56.7% Corsi%. Needless to say, if the Ducks dont have Getzlaf back in the lineup, in a hurry, then they are really vulnerable to be upset. KANE COMES THROUGH Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane scored his second goal of the game, 11:17 into overtime, giving Chicago a 4-3 win in Game Four, tying the series at two games apiece. In the third period, the Blackhawks shifted Ben Smith into the middle on the line with Kane and Patrick Sharp, and that unit created several scoring chances before connecting on the winner. Smith had the best Corsi differential (+13), and percentage (74.1%), among Blackhawks forwards. Blackhawks defencemen Nick Leddy and Michal Roszival had a tremendous game, carrying possession against weaker competition. They matched up most frequently against the Blues line of Maxim Lapierre, Steve Ott and Chris Porter. While Lapierre scored St. Louis second goal late in the second period, that line was dominated possession-wise. Leddy was on for 26 shot attempts for and five shot attempts against (83.9%). When Leddy was off the ice, the Blackhawks were virtually even (50.6%) in possession terms. Blackhawks C Jonathan Toews added two assists, giving him five points through the first four games of the series. Blues RW Vladimir Tarasenko continued to find the net, scoring a pair of goals to give him four goals in four games for the series. Having tied the series, the Blackhawks are likely in a slightly better position going forward, particularly as long as St. Louis C David Backes remains out of the lineup, but this is an even series. Literally, both teams have a 50.0% Fenwick Close (unblocked shot attempts) for the series. "Weve lost far more than them over the first eight games of our season and nobody felt sorry for us," Nelsen said prior to Friday nights game in Kansas City. "Just because theyre missing two or three, were missing three in our midfield. So actually were probably hurting more than them, to tell you the truth." Nelsen notes he has been able to use his starting lineup once this season, a reference likely to the D.C. United game back in March. While Toronto (4-4-0) has question-marks in midfield, the defensive cupboard is almost completely bare for Kansas City (5-4-2). Matt Besler is with the U.S. World Cup team while Lawrence Olum has been summoned by the Kenyan national team for a two-legged Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Aurelien Collin is nursing a hamstring injury and Ike Opara is out for the season after ankle surgery. To make matters worse, 17-year-old defender Erik Palmer-Brown was sent off for two yellow cards in his MLS debut last weekend, a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Fire that saw Kansas City give up two penalties. So Palmer-Brown is suspended for Fridays game. Kansas City is also without key attacking midfielder Graham Zusi, whos with the U.S. team. Manager Peter Vermes started the Chicago game with a 3-5-2 formation, with Palmer-Brown between fullbacks Chance Myers and Seth Sinovic at the back, in a bid to work around his lack of defensive options. He had to return to a four-man backline after Palmer-Browns ejection. Palmer-Brown, reportedly a target of Juventus, still made history by becoming the youngest defender to start an MLS game. He turned 17 on April 24. Collin and defensive midfielder Uri Rosell, who could drop back in defence, may be healthy enough to play Friday. But with three games in eight days -- Kansas City hosts the Red Bulls next Tuesday and visits D.C. United on May 31 -- Vermes will likely not want to rush players back. While the MLS champions are still a quality team, they have lost two straight. And a makeshift defence would seem like catnip to Torontos Jermain Defoe, who has five goals in all competitions. Nelsen has questions of his own, facing five games in 15 days. He has lost American midfielder Michael Bradley and Brazilian goalie Julio Cesar to the World Cup. Cheap Jordan Shoes Australia. . Brazilian Jackson (concussion) is not expected to play and fellow midfielder Jonathan Osorio is doubtful (hamstring, hand injury). Nelsens other questions are selection-related. Rookie defender Nick Hagglund had a strong game against New York in place of Doneil Henry while Bradley Orr, pushed up into midfield, also impressed. Henry, 21, already has 40 MLS starts under his belt but has made some costly errors in recent games. Nelsen, perhaps easing the blow, said he was moved to the bench against the Red Bulls because he had played 120 minutes midweek in Vancouver and had a few knocks. Hagglunds fine play against French star Thierry Henry and Englands Bradley Wright-Phillips, the leagues leading scorer, may extended Henrys time on the sidelines. "Nick was brilliant," said Nelsen. Nelsen, while not showing his hand, rejected the suggestion that time on the bench might offer a mixed message to Henry whom he regularly talks up. "I sat on the bench at D.C. United and I was three years older than Doneil. They sat me," said Nelsen. "Its going to happen. Its going to happen when youre 20, its going to happen when hes playing in the Premier league or in the top level." "Theyre not bumps, theyre life experiences that youve got to deal with. Everyone deals with them in any job, in any profession ... its just how you react." "Generally the best ones find a way on the field pretty quickly," he added. The 21-year-old Hagglund has already won kudos on the field for his no fear approach. Off the field, his bubbly personality is also appreciated. "Hes a massive part of this squad, this changing room, for such a young kid," said captain Steven Caldwell. "He takes a lot of stick. He laughs, he smiles. His personality rubs off on everybody, Hes a pleasure to have here." Nelsen could retain Orr in central midfield and has newly acquired Collen Warner available, although he may have to play on the flank if Osorio, as expected, cant go. Warner was the last man off the practice field Wednesday, chatting with Nelsen en route to the locker-room. Rookie Daniel Lovitz, who has impressed since returning from loan in Wilmington, is another midfield option. Torontos career record against Kansas City is 4-10-4, including 1-7-1 on the road. Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Authentic JerseysNike NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Nike Basketball Jerseys Hockey Jerseys China Supply Baseball Jerseys Football Jerseys Sale Authentic College Jerseys MLB Jerseys China Stitched Soccer Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Jerseys ' ' '

    • FIVE QUICK NBA THOUGHTS:      1. Jordan 11 Ireland . DEMAR DEROZAN (Raptors): Hopefully, hes back sooner rather than later. Hell be missed by his team - obviously. Hes such a competitor. After getting hurt the other night, he kept trying to play on his injured foot. He loves the game and Im so impressed with his progress over the years. DeRozan is a mature and serious young man. There is a reason above and beyond his physical ability why hes a good player; he has worked incredibly hard on his skills, his strength and conditioning and is a student of the game. It would be nice to see him make the All Star game. In the meantime, Raptors really need to buckle down defensively and find scoring and consistency in other areas, could be a challenge.  Big one tonight here in New York City vs. the red hot Nets.                      2. SHAUN LIVINGSTON (Nets): When you watch the Raptors tonight it is always nice to see a guy who has fought back from a devastating injury to have success. When he was a young player with the Clippers, Livingston had a chance to be a special player in this league and then it all got derailed. He has made a difference with Brooklyn, being a sound defender who sets the tone for his team. In the absence of Deron Williams, his leadership was critical for Coach Jason Kidd turning this team around. Not a flashy player yet his smarts, toughness and consistency are a big part why the Nets are surging right now.                            3. SPENCER HAWES (Sixers): Hawes has really developed in the past few years into a steady Post player. His rebounding instincts are solid while his back to the basket game has improved. He is also a capable face up shooter. He passes the ball quite well from both the low and high post and is a good fit in a teams attack. When I saw him as a young player at the University of Washington and when he was on the Sacramento Kings, I didnt envision him to have this upside. Hes really carved out a nice niche in Philly.                             4. JAMAAL CRAWFORD (Clippers): Raptor fans got to see first-hand why Crawford is probably the best sixth-man in the NBA right now. He dropped 37 points on them, but more importantly he had an amazing 11 assists as well. What a luxury for Doc Rivers brining him off the bench. He changes the game completely when he comes in. You better check him from behind the three-point arc and his dribble moves are tantalizing. Hes bounced around a lot and Ive never understood why - hes always been a good player. Clips are lucky to have him. Hell steal a playoff game or two for them.                        5. AL JEFFERSON (Bobcats): Sure, they spent above market value to get Jefferson but in a market like Charlotte, which has had a rough go of it lately, you have to acquire talent somehow. Hes been a good player for them. 19 points per game and 10-plus rebounds per games as well, while shooting 48 % has really helped their team. Hes in terrific shape and has been quite engaged in the rebuilding process. He plays with a terrific front court partner in Josh McRoberts, who does all the little things while Jefferson racks up the points and boards. If the Bobcats add perimeter shooting, (theyre awful in those categories -bottom eight in field goal and three-point field goal percentage) it will really open things up for their team in future years. You can never have enough shot makers.  Jordan 11 Cheap Online . - The Denver Broncos kept rookie wide receiver Tavarres King from joining the Green Bay Packers by promoting him to their active roster Tuesday. Cheap Jordan 11 For Sale . According to Bloody Elbows Steph Daniels, the loveable UFC heavyweight contender is interested in filling the shoes of Keith Kizer as Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.  Kizer announced his resignation at the beginning of January. "I have put my application in. My wife and I were talking about having something besides fighting to fall back on, and I think I would be able to do some good. This is my hometown, its where I was born and raised, so I feel its a way for me to help further the sport," Nelson told Daniels on Monday. "With me, I can draw more people back to Vegas to help the budget. Thats a big part of it. Of course I want to help get the sport cleaned up, but helping Nevada financially and bringing more revenue in is one of the primary goals I have. The others involve making sure we have better officiating and bbetter fighter safety. Jordan 11 Sale Ireland. " Nelson (20-9) broke into the UFC by winning "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show in 2009. After a stunning upset of 7-foot heavyweight Stefan Struve in March 2010, the former International Fight League champion found himself one fight away from a UFC heavyweight title shot. However, he was stopped in his tracks by eventual heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos -- who captured the title two fights later -- in August that same year. Nelson never earned a title shot and has fallen to No. 11 in the division after consecutive losses in 2013. Nelson told Daniels he has yet to inform the UFC of his plans, but hopes he will receive full support from the organization. "I think theyd probably be happy that Im just trying to make the sport better. It would be the building of a relationship that would help the UFC, MMA and all of combat sports in Nevada," he said. Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale JerseysWholesale Authentic Jerseys Nike NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Nike Basketball Jerseys Hockey Jerseys China Supply Baseball Jerseys Football Jerseys Sale Authentic College Jerseys MLB Jerseys China Stitched Soccer Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap Nike Jerseys ' ' '

Manning missed practice Wednesday to get more treatment on the right ankle he aggravated when Chargers defensive lineman Corey Liuget dove at the quarterbacks lower legs toward the end of last Sundays game. Both Del Rio and Manning have insisted Manning will play Sunday when the Broncos (8-1) host the Chiefs (9-0) with first place in the AFC West on the line. On Wednesday, Manning said sitting out of practice was not his preference but something he had to do in the best interest of the team. Del Rio agreed with that view. "He did the smart thing, did a little extra time yesterday and continues to do his thing with preparation," Del Rio said. "Hes tremendous with that and its well-documented. Good player whos back at practice and is getting ready to play a good team." Offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase said Manning missing a Wednesday practice -- the way many veterans do, especially later in the season -- wouldnt affect Denvers preparation. "When you have Peyton back there, he knows this offence in and out," Gase said. "Him running one more rep of a play hes run 4,000 times, thats really not going to make the difference of what were doing. The big day is today and tomorrow, making sure that Saturday were nice and clean going into the game." Meanwhile, Mannings absence gave backup Brock Osweiler a chance to get reps with the first team. "Those are huge for him," Gase said. "The only thing that could be better for him is if hes ever in a game and hopefully we can hold that tenure for a while." Air Max 90 Australia Cheap . • PARIS - Amélie Mauresmo was officially appointed Andy Murrays coach on Sunday as the British star prepares to embark on the grass-court season and defend his Wimbledon title. Air Jordan 5 Canada . There are a handful of women coaching players on the ATP Tour, but none with anywhere close to the profile of Murray, a two-time Grand Slam winner and Olympic gold medallist. "Amélie is someone I have always looked up to and admired," Murray said in a statement. "Shes faced adversity plenty of times in her career, but was an amazing player." It is rare for an elite mens player to be mentored by a woman, especially one who is not related to him. Jimmy Connors was once coached by his mother. Billie Jean King coached Tim Mayotte for a short time. Andrei Chesnokov was coached by Tatiana Naumko. Early in the French Open, Murray was asked about the possibility of hiring a female coach and how that may be received by his peers. "For me, I dont care," said Murray, who had been without a coach since parting ways with Ivan Lendl in March. "I dont really care whether some of the other male players like it or not. Thats not something that really bothers me. I was coached by my mum for a long time. I have had her around at tournaments for a long time. There has been ex-players and stuff that have said, Oh, your mom shouldnt be around, or, She shouldnt come and support you or come to watch. You know, its silly. "Everyone is entitled to have the team around them that they want. Everyone works very differently. You know, some men might not work well with a female. Some men might work well with a female coach. Its just whatever your preference is and whatever your needs are. Thats basically it." Judy Murray, Andys mum, weighed in on Twitter saying, "Love it," in response to the news. Mauresmo, a former world No. 1, who won Wimbledon and the Australian Open, held a news conference in Paris just moments before the start of the mens French Open championship match between Rafael Nadal, coach by his Uncle Toni, and Novak Djokovic, who is coached by Boris Becker. The following is a transcript of Mauresmos exchange with reporters: Q. What was the moment when you thought that you would take over as coach of Andy Murray?  What is it about the job that is fascinating to you? AMÉLIE MAURESMO:  Andy contacted me a few weeks ago and we started to talk about this possibility to work, to be working together.  Its not really something that I was thinking doing when I stopped being a tennis player. Then we talked again a little bit more about how to do the things maybe about his game, about different things. We came up with the will from both sides to, yeah, to give it a shot. Q. Could you talk a bit about the fact obviously youre a woman, hes a man.  Do you consider that of any relevance, or do you see it possibly as a positive advantage for you? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: I would say that, yeah, I mean, its probably something that have to you ask him at some point why he made this choice.  We all know his mother was a big part of his tennis career. I think hes maybe looking for something different, about emotions and sensitive things.  Its not really interesting for me, this part of the story, to be honest.  All Im interested in is to be able to help him in his goals.  Thats about it.  The rest is the story for you to write, I guess. But, yeah, for me its a challenge.  I want to take it. Q. Can you tell us what areas of Andys game you believe you can be the most help to him in? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: I dont think Im going to go into these details right now.  I think we really get to know each other, really get to start, and actually start working together. Well maybe talk about it at some point. Q. He had obviously choices and people to consider.  When he contacted you the first time, did he say, Amélie, the reason I decided that you would be the right person is because you could bring me this or this that?  Did he give you a reason why he thought of you? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: Yeah, he did. Q. Can you tell us what it is? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: Not really (Laughter). Not really. I mean, maybe he will tell you at some point. Q. Have you watched his game much over the years?  Did you have any sort of relationship with him?  Were you surprised when he rang? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: We didnt really talk to each other more than just greeting each other and stuff.  I have watched him play, yes, many times. Again, we have talked a little bit already about his game.  We definitely going to get more into this very soon, I guess. Q. Were you surprised when he rang? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: It was a little bit of a surprise, yes.  To be honest, yes. Q. This will obviously get a lot of attention because you are a woman going to be coaching a top man.  Do you think it is an important step for mens sport for somebody to make this decision? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: Again, I mean, I guess it is a big story to write on and a step forward. But honestly, its not my big concern right now.  Im happy about this new challenge.  I want to help Andy.  Its the only thing that I have in mind right now. Q. I think the reason why Andy stopped working with Ivan Lendl is Ivan said he didnt have enough time to spend with him.  You will be available to travel with Andy throughout the year, will you? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: We have already, yes, talked about this.  Yeah, not the whole year, not as fulltime, but, yes, significant amount of weeks that we have agreed on and should be good for everyone. Q.  From your point of view, what do you expect to achieve with Andy and what would make the job a success for you? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: Well, its quite easy for me to answer this, and hes very open on this.  He wants to win more Grand Slam or Grand Slams, so I guess thats what it is. Q. You were in a comfortable position as a TV consultant. AMÉLIE MAURESMO: Yeah, I was sitting.  Now I will be... Q. You will have almost the same pressure as Andy.  The expectations will be high.  So what was the reason for you to accept such a tough challenge? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: First of all, I think he has the most pressure.  Thats for sure when youre a player, and I know what it is.  You have huge pressure on your shoulders.  This will remain this way. Yes, it will change a little bit my life and my retirement, lets say.  But Im passionate.  Im passionate about this sport.  I love challenges. I dont know, I guess I like to put myself on the line at some point and see what I can do. Q. We all know that since Billie Jean, a big part of the WTA, has been about the empowerment of women and opportunities.  We all know also its extremely difficult for WTA players.  What were your thoughts that Ernests Gulbis made the other day that he would not want his sisters to go into tennis and that its very tough and they should be focusing on families? AMÉLIE MAURESMO:  I know him a little bit.  I think you guys also know him quite a lot.  Hes provocative at some point.  Im not sure he was really thinking this way. He explained a little bit later why he said this.  Im not really Im not shocked by this because I know him.  I know how he is. Q. How long is your commitment with Andy? AMÉLIE MAURESMO: We are going to do the grass court season and we will talk after that. Jordan 5 For Sale Cheap . ABBOTSFORD, B.C. -- Corban Knight snapped out of his scoring slump in a big way Friday night, with some help from an old friend. Knight scored twice and assisted on another as the Abbotsford Heat blanked the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs 6-0 in American Hockey League action. After recording five points in the final three games of December, Knight had no goals and just two assists in nine games through the month of January. "Id definitely say I was a little snake-bit the last little while here, and things werent coming my way," said Knight. "It was nice to get a couple nice set-ups from the guys, and I was able to put them in. Hopefully Ill kind of put that behind me and move forward here." Knight was matched up with former linemate at the University of North Dakota Evan Trupp. Trupp responded with his first multi-point game since being called up from the ECHLs Alaska Aces. "We played two years together, and were really good friends, too," said Knight. "The fact we were put together, I think we were both pretty excited about it, and we were able to get some chemistry going tonight." Besides recording two second-period goals, Knight picked up the second assist on Markus Granlunds opening goal and was also in the crease for a Heat goal that was waved off in the first period. "Hes going through a learning curve like a lot of our guys," said Heat head coach Troy Ward. "Theyre kind of over that hump of, Im tired now. Some of our college guys that come out, thats really hard for them. Hes got a little bit more energy to his game, and Trupp made a difference." Blair Jones had two goals in his first game since being put on waivers by the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. With the addition of Jones and Shane OBrien, who was also sent down by the Flames, along with Heats signing of Trevor Gillies, the Abbotsford dressing room is beginning to get quite crowded. Derek Smith and Sven Baertschi are also recent Flames demotions. "Our team is at probably one of the most competitive points for ice time," said Ward. "Thats based on health and depth. It might get worse next week when the NHL shuts down and they assign players, creating more of a log jam. Its a heaalthy situation. Air Jordan 4 Wholesale. It makes coaching decisions a little bit harder but thats part of our job." Josh Jooris also scored, while Max Reinhart had two assists as Abbotsford (27-14-4) got back in the win column after consecutive overtime losses last weekend. Joni Ortio stopped 34 shots for his second shutout of the season, and was a factor despite the lopsided win. "Hes one of the unsung heroes," said Ward. "He made some huge saves at critical times. We gave them a couple good looks and he was there and made it look pretty easy." Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves for Hamilton (20-19-4), which has won just once in its past five outings. After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Ortio woke up his club with a huge save midway through the second period. "Joni made some big saves in the second period when they had a couple cross-ice plays," said Jones. "Its kind of what Ive been seeing from him all season." Hamilton got a three-on-two rush while at the tail end of a penalty kill, but Ortio made a great save, sliding across to deny Martin St. Pierres one-timer at the side of the net. During a post-whistle scuffle the Heat came away with another power play and this time made it count. Max Reinhart fed Granlund and the Swede beat defender Darren Dietz at the blue-line and skated in on Tokarski, scoring blocker side for his team-high 18th of the season at 10:26. Then, just 1:27 second later the Heat built on their momentum. Brett Olson put a perfect backhanded saucer pass on the tape of Knight in the slot and the High River, Alta. native made no mistake, beating Tokarski glove side. Knight picked up his second with less than a minute to go in the period. Trupp came off the side boards and shovelled the puck to Knight in the high slot. This time he went top corner, blocker side for his 11th of the season. Jooris made it 4-0 with his fifth of the season at 7:20 of the third. He took a feed from Baertschi, cut to the front of the net and swept the puck around Tokarski. Jones completed the onslaught, scoring twice in less than two minutes. First he redirected Reinharts perfect feed at 9:52, then wired a one-timer between Tokarskis pads for his 10th of the season. Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Nike NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Nike Basketball Jerseys Hockey Jerseys China Supply Baseball Jerseys Football Jerseys Sale Authentic College Jerseys MLB Jerseys China Stitched Soccer Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap Nike Jerseys ' ' '

    • Day 8 in 100 words or less The competitive group C played out their second games and it became evidently clear that Colombia are the class of that bunch as they beat Ivory Coast, while Japan and Greece played out a 0-0 stalemate. Cheap Shoes From China Free Shipping . It was a day that saw England slump off a World Cup field once again battered and bruised. This time there was no red card to wonder about, no goalkeeping error or individual mistake. They were thoroughly beaten by something they have nothing of – genuine world class ability. England 1-2 Uruguay After every major international tournament, UEFA releases a technical report that focuses on many things including the tactical trends and the direction the game is going. Roy Hodgson was part of that committee after 1996, and up to becoming England manager, as a match analyst. After Euro 2012 he spoke at length about possession, midfield domination, the importance of finding space, getting full backs high, starting transitions from the attack and seemed to have a very good idea of where the game was headed. However, no matter how many words he spoke, he couldnt shake the reputation of being a cautious coach. After his team lost 2-1 to Italy, Hodgson was praised in the press for picking youngsters with pace who were brave to attack. The issue with this was that it was all based around counter-attacking. The moment the opposition got the lead, and therefore defended deeper, England couldnt break them down. Next up was Uruguay on Thursday. This was a perfect test of England and Hodgsons credentials. Uruguay are not a team that has success based on possession. They defeated teams in South Africa on the counter, defending deep with two banks and letting their front two do the damage. It was the same in Copa America 2011, when they famously beat Argentina at home with 10-men, on the way to lifting the trophy. England had a dangerous opponent staring them down, without question, but also one that would let them have the ball. With it, England were clueless. Slow in possession, poor in positioning and unconvincing in their movement. With the Hodgson handbrake on, they leisurely played their way through the first-half until they were knocked to the ground with a sucker punch. Counter attack…in behind Steven Gerrard, out to Edinson Cavani, whose majestic ball was headed home by Luis Suarez. Who else? England spent 36 minutes behind, before Wayne Rooneys late run in the box ended his goal scoring streak, and it was during this time that it was evidently clear that Hodgson remains a significant problem for England. Sure, it is clear this England team is very average but there was no reason for them to be average and outnumbered in central midfield. For one, the fact that their defenders are average speaks to the need for more protection. After playing Denmark in March it seemed he would play 4-3-3. It would be a shape that could solve many problems. Wayne Rooney, not trusted to play as a 10, could have gone up top and Gerrard, badly in need of support around him, would be more comfortable. Centre-backs could then split and full backs could be progressive. Instead, the full backs were very poor, aside from Glen Johnsons one assist, and the centre-backs were not much better, clearly not helping Gerrard as Suarez smashed home the winner. You could go through each player and say he wasnt good enough, but the style certainly didnt help them. As the club game evolves into a progressive, attack-minded style, with no midfield superiority and intelligence, England were left looking like a team decades behind, once again. Despite being humbled by old enemies in Suarez and Mario Balotelli inside a week, the pain isnt over for the English and when Italy defeats Costa Rica on Friday the nation will likely spend the next three days convincing themselves that their next destination could be the last 16. The truth is, no matter when England are put out of their misery, they will not have learned a great deal about their players. Many already knew their limitations. We just didnt expect their own manager to highlight them for us. Colombia 2-1 Ivory Coast Colombia were not great, but a couple of their players were and that was enough. In Abel Aguilar and Carlos Sanchez, they have two holders who are positionally very good because the centre-backs behind them sit deep, giving them plenty of work to do. Colombias back six is very organized even though Pablo Armero is clearly the weak link at left back. Mario Yepes, sitting deep with most attacks in front of him, was superb. In front of them all, though, are four positions who have now all been good, in periods at this World Cup. Victor Ibarbo and Teo Gutierrez were quiet against Ivory Coast but good against Greece, Juan Cuadrado has been excellent in both games and James Rodriguez has been sensational in both. The front four are lethal in their speed when they attack and are a joy to watch. Ibarbo was replaced by the lovely young playmaker, Juan Quintero, and he came inside more and gave the side another ball treasurer in and around Rodriguez. The Monaco man, however, was on a different level to anyone. He chased a seemingly lost cause to play in an uncomfortable ball to handle for the Ivorian defence and from that subsequent corner he headed home a thunderbolt. He was involved in the transition on the second goal, also, but Didier Zokoras misplaced pass allowed Colombia - through Quintero - to double their lead. Ivory Coast responded well and for the second successive game were the better side as the match went into its final quarter. Gervinhos individual effort meant the scoreline - at least - reflected how close the match was. It was another absorbing contest highlighted by good young players coming to the fore again, led by Rodriguez of course. Greece 0-0 Japan There are very different ways to get what you want out of a football match. Greece, who were woeful with 11 players, went down a man in the first half and it was then that they knew what to do. Japan couldnt break them down despite having 75% and Greece grew into the game. They were better with ten men than when they had 11 and now have a shot, one opportunity at making the last 16 in their final game against Ivory Coast. As for Japan, it appears their World Cup is over and they simply never recovered from the second half meltdown against Serge Auriers crosses. Man of the day Nominees James Rodriguez – the football world has known about him for some time but a true star is being born in Brazil. Mario Yepes – The 38-year-old didnt have pace when he was 28, but he has always been a good reader of the game and, with everything in front of him, he dominated. Gervinho – a fine individual goal got his team back into the game. Edinson Cavani – played a brilliant ball for Suarez to score his first goal and was a handful for England to deal with all game. Luis Suarez – three weeks ago he had knee surgery, 21 days later he looked back to his best. The winner… • Luis Suarez – Cavanis ball was brilliant, Gerrards back header wasnt, Gary Cahills positioning was questionable but all of those only became major stories because the Liverpool striker scored two brilliant goals, many of which would have been put wide by others. What comes next? Italy vs Costa Rica (12pm/9am), France vs Switzerland (3pm/noon), Ecuador vs Honduras (6pm/3pm). Burning question for tomorrow Will France have enough talent for a young Swiss side and win a game that will help them stay away from Argentina in the next round? • BEIJING -- Four-time world champion and six-time national champion Randy Ferbey was inducted into the World Curling Hall of Fame on Tuesday. Ray Lewis College Jersey . Joining him in this years class were Switzerlands Patrick Huerlimann and Norways Eigil Ramsfjell. The announcement was made at the world mens curling championship at Capital Indoor Stadium in China. "We are delighted to announce that Randy Ferbey, Patrick Huerlimann and Eigil Ramsfjell are being inducted into the World Curling Hall of Fame," said World Curling Federation president Kate Caithness. "All of these athletes have been ambassadors of our game, both on and off the ice. "Their dedication to our sport has inspired generations of curlers the world over and this honour recognizes their achievements." Ferbey won world titles in 1989, 2002, 2003, 2005 and was a silver medallist in 1988. He won national titles in each of those years and in 2001. Ferbey, 54, will be honoured at next years world championship in Halifax. "This came out of nowhere for me -- Im blown away to be honest," said Ferbey. "Im really appreciative to the Canadian Curling Association for their support, as well as to the World Curling Federation. I never played the game to earn accolades like this. "I always considered it a team game and I really want to share this with all the great teammates I had over the years. I could not have done it without them." Huerlimann won Olympic gold at the 1998 Nagano Games. He won world silver in 1989 and bronze in 1996 and 1999. He also guided Switzerland to a silver medal at the 2003 world playdowns. Huerlimann was a WCF executive board member for seven years and served as vice-president from 2010 through 2012. "This great news came out of the blue," he said. "I am delighted to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and very thankful to the World Curling Federation. For the past 40 years, curling has been a major part of my life on and off the ice. "Curling means so much to me and I am truly honoured with this nomination and to be part of the great ones of our much loved game." Ramsfjell, from Norway, played in 15 world championships and won gold in 1979, 1984 and 1988. He took silver in 1978 and 1980 and won bronze on four occasions (1983, 1987, 1989 and 1991). Ramsfjell won the gold medal when curling was a demonstration sport at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and earned bronze at the Nagano Games 10 years later. "My curling career has given me many highlights and I have been grateful for every one of those experiences," he said. "However, this recognition is truly outstanding. I am deeply honoured to be joining some of the greats of previous generations and must thank the Norwegian Curling Association for nominating me and the World Curling Federation for inducting me into the Hall of Fame." Ferbey won his first two national titles as a third for Pat Ryans team. His next four Brier wins came as skip of the "Ferbey Four" rink, which included Dave Nedohin, Scott Pfeifer and Marcel Rocque. Ferbey, who threw third rocks for that team, shares the record for most Brier wins as a skip (four) with Ernie Richardson and Kevin Martin. "Randys achievements on the ice over the years speak for themselves," said CCA chief executive officer Greg Stremlaw. "Equally important, Randy was always accessible to our great curling fans, and made a lot of friends for the sport with his outgoing nature. "The Canadian Curling Association is thrilled to see him recognized with induction into the World Curling Hall of Fame." Last year, Canadas Ron Northcott and Don Duguid were the inductees. Prior to 2012, the WCF awarded the World Curling Freytag Award. It was named after the late Elmer Freytag of the U.S. Curling Association, who was a founding member of the International Curling Federation (now the WCF). Previous Freytag honourees from Canada include Ray Kingsmith (2011), Sandra Schmirler (2009), Shirley Morash (2001), Richardson (2000), Colin Campbell (1990), Bob Picken (1987), Don McLeod (1985), Mabel Deware (1983), Doug Maxwell (1981) and Ken Watson (1978). Stitched Miami Jerseys . • WASHINGTON -- Raise your hand if you had Greg Oden as the Miami Heat MVP. Jordan 1 Shoes For Sale . Or if you had any inkling the Washington Wizards were capable of taking a 34-point lead against the two-time defending champs. Or if you thought LeBron James and Co. would follow a White House visit by dropping their third straight against the heart of the middling Eastern Conference. Oden played his first game in more than four years Wednesday night, and that might have been the only positive for the Heat. He played all of 8 minutes, 24 seconds and made a pair of dunks to help start a rally that had loads of promise -- until it fell flat in the fourth quarter of a 114-97 loss to the Wizards on Wednesday night. "They came here, whatever. Went to the White House, whatever," Wizards forward Nene said. "We just came here to play." John Wall scored 25 points, and Bradley Beal and Nene had 19 apiece to lead seven players in double figures for the Wizards, who had their lead cut to nine before closing with a 17-9 run. They had dropped seven of eight at the Verizon Center, having blown a fourth-quarter lead to the Houston Rockets on Saturday in a game twice delayed because water was leaking onto the court through a hole in the roof. Chris Bosh scored 26 points, and James had 25 for the Heat, who had been off since Friday and therefore had time to be feted by President Barack Obama on Tuesday for winning a second consecutive NBA title. For one half, the Wizards made Miami look like a team that will never again be invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington went on a 20-0 run in the first quarter. James had three of the Heats six first-quarter turnovers. The Wizards, with their first sellout crowd of the season, taunted the Heat fans in attendance with the "Bandwagon Cam" that mocked those wearing the visitors colours. Washington didnt even commit a foul until the 8:48 mark of the second quarter. "They was playing at another speed," James said. "They was playing at, like, 15 and we was playing at, like, seven." James paused, then corrected himself. "Dont even gonna give us that much of a credit," he added. "We was playing at, like, five." James said he even lost his voice during the second or third quarter. He was still hoarse after the game. "We love adversity more than anything. Were definitely at that point," he said with a smile as his voice cracked. "As you can tell, my damn voice is gone. I gotta try to find it, too." At least the Heat found Oden, who stepped onto the court for his first regular-season game since Dec. 5, 2009. He scored six points, going 2 for 3 from the field with a pair of dunks. He made both of his free throws and grabbed two rebounds. It was Oden, of all people, who helped get the Heat going after the Wizards led 43-18 at the end of the first quarter and 64-30 during the second. Wearing No. 20 and with both knees heavily wrapped, he entered with 6:03 remaining in the first half and made an immediate impact: an offensive rebound, a dunk and a foul in 30 seconds. By halftime, the score was 69-48. Oden also started the second half and played four minutes before sitting for the rest of the game. "In a short amount of minutes tonight," James said, "he was pretty good for us." It was Odens first appearance in a regular-season game since fracturing his left kneecap while playing for the Portland Trail Blazers against the Rockets. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft also missed what would have been his rookie year because of a right knee injury. He has had three microfracture surgeries on his knees. Oden said the Heat have "come up with something to keep me playing, not just to get me out there and get injured." "So this is the plan and its got me this far," he said. "It got me in the game." Norris Coles jumper pulled the Heat within single digits -- 84-75 -- with less than a minute to go in the third, but they never got any closer than nine. The Wizards had nine turnovers in the third quarter but only one in the fourth, and an alley-oop from Wall to Martell Webster put Washington up by 17 with 3:02 to play. "We knew they were going to make a run," Washington coach Randy Wittman said. "Thats still the best team." NOTES: The Wizards began the day 1-14 against teams with winning records. ... The Heat hadnt lost three in row since the 2012 Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics. Their last regular-season three-game skid was Jan. 10-13, 2012. ... The loss ended the Heats 22-game winning streak vs. Southeast Division opponents. ... Miami played without F Chris Andersen, who "landed awkwardly on his knee," according to coach Erik Spoelstra. The alley-oop looked easy -- just like everything else after halftime for the Miami Heat. James scored 32 points, Wade added 22 points and eight assists, and the Heat trailed by 11 early in the second half before running away to a 107-88 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.RED DEER, Alta. - Patrik Bartosak kept the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey Leagues playoff picture -- at least for one more game. Bartosak stopped all 20 shots he faced as Red Deer shut out the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-0 on Sunday. The win sets up a tie-breaker game between the Rebels and the Prince Albert Raiders that will be played in Red Deer, Alta., on Tuesday. Red Deer and Prince Albert finished the regular season in a tie for eighth with 75 points each. The winner of that game will face the top-seeded Oil Kings in the first round of the WHLs Eastern Conference playoffs in Edmonton on Saturday. Rhyse Dieno scored and added two assists for the Rebels (35-32-5), while Adam Musil, Scott Feser, Wyatt Johnson and Haydn Fleury chipped in as well. Petan scored in regulation and added an assist, and Alex Schoenborn rounded out the Winterhawks offence. Joshua Winquist had two goals for the Silvertips (39-23-10), while Matt Pufahl and Dawson Leedahl also scored. Portlands Adin Hill stopped 17 shots through overtime. Austin Lotz started in net for the Silvertips but left the game after giving up two goals on 12 shots, and Carter Hart stopped 30 of 32 shots in relief. --- THUNDERBIRDS 6 AMERICANS 1 KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Shea Theodore scored two goals and helped on another as the Thunderbirds dominated Tri-City. Branden Troock, Mitch Elliot, and Alexander Delnov each had a goal and an assist apiece, and Justin Hickman also scored for Seattle (41-25-6). Morgan Geekie was the lone goal scorer for the Americans (29-33-10), who end the season with two wins in their last 10 games. • KAMLOOPS, B. Jordan 2 For Sale .C. -- Two veteran skips were both left scratching their heads at the Canadian mens curling championships Saturday night, as a change in ice conditions saw crucial draw attempts in an extra end fall at least five metres short of the house. Newfoundland and Labradors Brad Gushue, who lost the game 6-5 to Manitobas Jeff Stoughton, was more than a little peeved as the opening day of the Tim Hortons Brier ended. Gushue expressed his clear frustrations with the ice conditions. "They lost the ice," said Gushue, the 2006 Olympic gold medallist who, like Stoughton, is curling in his 11th Brier. "You see two world class skips throw draws to the four foot that end up 20-feet light. Its embarrassing. I think the ice is just (terrible). Its unfortunate that it came down to that." He said he saw it happen to a lesser degree in an earlier game between Albertas Kevin Koe and B.C.s John Morris. Stoughton was just as mystified. "We were going to draw probably half in the top four and I let it go, the guys said good weight and it just ground in," he said. Although, for him, the result was a little more satisfying as he left his shot stone in the house to win the game. "I guess that side of the sheet got lost somehow but well take it. We had one in there and he missed both his last two shots, what are you going to do?" Stoughton and Morris sit at the top of the standings with two wins apiece after Saturdays draw, followed by Brier rookie Greg Balsdon from Ontario and Steve Laycock from Saskatchewan with one win each. Gushue joined Northern Ontarios Jeff Currie at 1-1 while five rinks were winless after one game, Alberta, New Brunswick, The Northwest Territories-Yukon, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. In the evening draw, Morris beat Currie 8-2 in eight ends, after struggling earlier to edge Albertas Koe 7-6. Currie split the day, beating New Brunswicks Jamie Grattan 13-5 in the opener. Balsdon opened his first Brier by topping Quebec veteran Jean-Michel Menard 9-7 and Saskatchewans Laycock beat the Northwest Territories-Yukons Jamie Koe (Kevins brother) 8-5. Morris, curling for his third province at the Brier, was glad to get off to a good start. "The first one was a little tough on the melon, that one was a little nicer," he said, referring to the difference in the two games. "We played a little better this team, a good solid team effort." He also said he found the ice on the sheet he played on a little more consistent at night. Laycock said his first win wasnt without its scary moments. "Especially in nine there, there was a chance we could have blown a three-point lead in a hurry," he said. "It was nice to sneak out of that with only giving up two." He scored two in the final end to seal it. So did Balsdon, playing in his first Brier after managing to beat Ontario veteran Glen Howard to win the right. "We all felt pretty comfortable. The speed was good, the ice was very consistent, what youd expect from the Brier," he said. He says it helps in a way being a rookie. "Because Im a rookie here I dont really feel a whole lot of pressure for myself and the team. . . Were just hoping to scrap out some games." Jordan Retro 2 Cheap . -- Oakland Athletics third baseman Scott Sizemore has undergone surgery on his left knee to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Cheap Air Jordan 2 . -- Howie Kendrick had a two-run single in his first game batting leadoff this season, Chris Iannetta hit a pair of RBI singles and the Los Angeles Angels beat Cleveland 6-4 Tuesday night, sending the Indians to their fifth straight defeat.BOSTON -- Mike Carp spent more than a month on the disabled list with a broken right foot. He watched the Boston Red Sox struggle, wishing he could contribute. Sometimes, he couldnt bear to watch. "Some of the nights, I almost had to turn the TV off in those situations because you cant be there to help," Carp said. "Its tough being on the DL with a boot on my foot." He was smiling Thursday after delivering a pinch-hit single in the 10th inning that gave the Red Sox a 4-3 win, their second consecutive walk-off victory over the Chicago White Sox. "Happy times," said Carp, who was on the disabled list from June 2 until being activated Monday. There havent been many of those this season for the Red Sox, the defending World Series champions who are in last place in the AL East. With two straight wins to end their 3-7 homestand, they head to Houston for a three-game series with a chance to build some momentum going into the All-Star break. "Hopefully itll get us in a little bit of a rhythm, comfort level," said left-hander Jon Lester, who allowed one run and struck out 12 in seven innings. "A win like today is huge." Lester gave up seven hits and no walks. In his last six starts, hes 3-0 with a 1.01 ERA, 39 strikeouts, six walks and 33 hits allowed in 44 2-3 innings. He extended his streak to 45 innings without giving up a homer. But fellow All-Star Koji Uehara allowed a tying, two-run homer in the ninth to pinch-hitter Conor Gillaspie -- his third long ball in three games and fourth of the season. "Hes been hotter than all get-out lately," teammate Adam Eaton said. David Ortiz had a two-run double that gave the Red Sox a 3-1 lead in the sixth after Jose Quintana retired Bostons first 15 batters. "I really wanted to win this game because (Lesters) a really good pitcher," said Quintana, whose scoreless streak ended at 20 2-3 innings, "but I had one bad inning in the sixth." Pinch-hitter Daniel Nava started the winning rally with a leadoff walk and went to second on a sacrifice by Mookie Betts. Stephen Drew, in an 0-for-15 slump, was intentionally walked by Ronald Belisario (3-6). Carp, who had been 0 for 2 as a pinch hitter in the series, then battedd for David Ross and lined a single between shortstop and third base. Cheap Jordan 2 Wholesale. Nava scored the winning run for the second consecutive game, and Carp was mobbed by teammates rushing out of the dugout. In Bostons 5-4 comeback victory Wednesday night, Nava doubled in Betts for the tying run in the ninth and scored on Brock Holts single. Chicago had runners at first and third with two outs in the 10th, but Alexei Ramirez was retired on a grounder to pitcher Andrew Miller (3-5). Ramirez led off the ninth with an infield single -- after first base umpire Cory Blasers out call was reversed on replay. Uehara then struck out Paul Konerko before Gillaspie, batting for Moises Sierra, homered. Lester trailed 1-0 after three batters. Eaton singled, Gordon Beckham struck out and Jose Abreu hit an RBI double over a leaping Jonny Gomes in left field. Lester then struck out Dayan Viciedo. Lester fanned two batters in each of the first five innings and one each in the sixth and seventh before being replaced by Junichi Tazawa, who pitched a perfect eighth. Uehara failed to hold the lead, though, his second blown save in 20 chances this season. Boston went ahead in the sixth when the first three batters reached base on full counts. Drew became Bostons first runner with a walk and went to second on a walk to Ross. Jackie Bradley Jr. attempted to bunt on the first four pitches, then took a ball to bring the count to 3-2. He grounded a single to right field for Bostons first hit, driving in Drew with the tying run. The next two batters were retired before Ortizs two-run double. Aaron Harrison scored a 22 points for Kentucky (6-1), which has won four in a row following a Nov. 12 loss to current No. 1 Michigan State. Julius Randle overcame a scoreless first half and added his sixth double-double in as many games with 14 points and 10 rebounds. "I thought Julius in the second half ran the floor and did what he had to," said Kentucky head coach John Calipari. The win marked Kentuckys 500th at Rupp Arena. Darell Combs dropped a game-high 23 off the bench for the Eagles (5-1), who did not have a starter reach double figures. Ray Lee followed up his 38-point outburst against Texas-Arlington with just two points on 1-of-9 from the field. EMU set out to prove it was a formidable foe from the opening tip, jumping out to a 4-0 lead and prompting a Kentucky timeout less than a minute into the contest. "I thought tonight we got off to a pretty good start offensively," said EMU head coach Rob Murphy, "and as the first half continued to develop a few of our got in foul trouble early so it was tough on us." The Wildcats responded and led by a slim margin for most of the first half. Jalen Ross floater late in the opening period pulled EMU to within 1, but Cauley-Steins alley-oop from James Young as time expired brought the crowd to its feet and gave Kentucky momentum heading into the locker room. Kentucky struggled in the first half in large part due to 11 turnovers to just four assists. A pair of Cauley-Stein alley-oops set the tone in the first five minutes of the second half. Aaron Harrisons triple extended the Wildcats lead to 47-38 at the 13:34 mark of the second. Cauley-Stein then split a pair of free throws a minute later and found Randle underneath for a three-point play after Alex Poythress kept the possession alive with an offensive rebound on the missed second shot. Combs responded with five straight points to cut the Eagles deficit to single digits, but Cauley-Steins seventh block, which matched a career-high, led to a Randle three-point play in transition and a commanding 64-48 Kentucky lead with just under eight minutes to go. JOHNS, N.CALGARY -- Most expected that Mike Cammalleri would be on a different team by the NHL trade deadline, helping a playoff contender win games down the stretch. Instead, he remained in Calgary where his red-hot scoring is helping the Flames chalk up victories. Cammalleris 20th goal of the season midway through the third period was the game-winner Tuesday night as Calgary downed the visiting Buffalo Sabres 3-1. Mikael Backlund beat Matt Ellis on a faceoff in the Sabres end, drawing the puck back to Chris Butler. The defencemans shot was neatly deflected by Cammalleri past Nathan Lieuwen. Cammalleri has seven goals in his last nine games. That comes after a stretch leading up to the NHL trade deadline in which he had one goal in 14 games. "I thought a few weeks ago he was shooting as well as he is now, but it just seemed the puck would find a pad or find a post or miss the net. Right now, Cammys on fire," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. The 31-year-old, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer if he doesnt re-sign, takes over the team lead in goals from rookie Sean Monahan. "Its not a surprise to us," said Hartley. "Hes very talented. Hes Johnny-on-the-spot. He has that knack to find that open space around the net." The Flames have been particularly hot at the Scotiabank Saddledome winning nine of their last 11. "Its fun to play well at home. We love our fan support," Cammalleri said. "In the first period, we didnt really have the bite to our game that we would have liked to but Im proud of the group to get it going again and playing the last 40 the way we wanted to." Joe Colborne and Paul Byron also scored for Calgary (28-34-7). Butler added two assists. Drew Stafford scored for Buffalo (19-42-8). The last place Sabres, who have dropped seven games in a row, are 13 points back of 29th place Edmonton. The Sabres led 1-0 right up until the final two minutes of the first period when a turnover eventually resulted in Colbornes tying goal. "Were playing as well as we can possibly can play on the road. I dont think they had too many chances and all of a sudden we had a one-on-three with two minutes left in the second period and we tried to stickhandle through two guys," said frustrated Sabres coach Ted Nolan. "Its just so disheartening is what it is when you have 90 per cent of the guys going and a few that are not." The Flames got a key insurance goal from Byron at 13:27 of the third, making it 3-1 on Calgarys league-leading 12th short-handed goal of the campaign. After trading Ryan Miller to the St. Louis Blues at the deadline, the Sabres were poised to moove forward with the goaltending tandem of Jhonas Enroth and newly acquired Michal Neuvirth. Cheap Jordan 1 Retro. However, injuries to both of them resulted in the Sabres opening a five-game road trip with Lieuwen, 22, making his NHL debut while his back-up -- with 13 NHL games of experience -- was Matt Hackett. It was just three days ago that they were the goaltending duo with Buffalos American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester. "It felt really good to get on the ice and be in that atmosphere. That experience, it was incredible," said the six-foot-five goaltender from Abbotsford, B.C., who finished with 23 saves. Among the friends and family in attendance to watch him live were his wife, his parents and his brother. Down 1-0, Calgary carried the play in the second period but Lieuwen stood tall and kept them at bay. He made a blocker save off Mikael Backlund, a glove grab off Cammalleri, and another big stop on Byron on a power play. The Flames finally broke through and when Colborne tied it with 1:02 remaining. "Overall I thought he played well," said Nolan. Buffalo entered the night struggling mightily, amassing just five goals in six straight regulation-time losses. Stafford had three of them and he kept up his hot hand, scoring the opening goal at 13:22 of the first period after a giveaway by Ben Hanowski. But that would be it for Sabres, who managed just 14 shots on rookie Flames goaltender Joni Ortio, who evened his record at 4-4-0. "Extremely frustrating. Weve been lacking offence. Ive felt as though for the most part weve gotten stellar goaltending and tonight we cleaned up our defensive game for the most part, especially in the neutral zone. It was one of our better efforts," said Stafford. Nolan says his team needs to seize the chances they get to shoot the puck. "Its pretty tough when you have a shot in the slot and you pass it to the far side corner for a different shot. I dont know. You cant score if you dont shoot. Were in positions, we get the puck to shoot, then we pass it off for some reason. Im not too sure why." Notes: Calgary C Matt Stajan returned to the Flames line-up. He was away from the club for 13 days and missed eight games after the death of his son Emerson following childbirth two weeks ago... Not dressed for Calgary was rookie Kenny Agostino. Signed on Monday after Yales NCAA season came to an end, coach Bob Hartley said he would make his NHL debut Friday against Nashville... Buffalo C Torrey Mitchell (lower body) returned after missing six games... Buffalo led after the first period for only the 11th time, which is lowest in the league. • BOSTON -- When Yoenis Cespedes drove the ball to deep centre field, Jemile Weeks started clapping even before he trotted home from third with the winning run. Nike Air Max Suomi . Hits with runners in scoring position are becoming routine for Bostons new slugger. Cespedes had four hits, including the game-winning single that capped a three-run 10th inning, and the Red Sox rallied to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 9-8 on Friday night. "Hes proven to us time and time again in RBI situations, hes got a knack for it," Boston manager John Farrell said. "Hes aggressive, hes strong and hes got all-field coverage." Since coming over from Oakland at the July 31 trade deadline in a deal for lefty ace Jon Lester, Cespedes has 26 RBIs in 32 games and a .421 batting average with runners in scoring position. With the bases loaded, hes 6 for 9 with 12 RBIs for the Red Sox. "Kind of like (David) Ortiz," Boston shortstop Xander Bogaerts said. "I dont know if they share tips with each other, but when he sees guys on base he just drives them in." Toronto, which lost outfielder Melky Cabrera to a season-ending pinkie injury, took an 8-6 lead in the top of the 10th. The first run scored on Dioner Navarros infield single that followed a single by Edwin Encarnacion and a double by John Mayberry Jr. Danny Valencia then hit a deep fly to right fielder Allen Craig, who caught what he thought was the third out. By the time he realized it wasnt, Mayberry was on his way to scoring all the way from second on Valencias unusual sacrifice fly. "You score those two runs in the top of the 10th there, so youre feeling really good and then bam, bam, bam, bam," Toronto manager John Gibbons said. "Nine times out of 10 we win that game." In the bottom of the inning, Boston loaded the bases with none out against Casey Janssen (3-3) on singles by Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts, and a bunt single by Christian Vazquez. Will Middlebrooks singled in Betts, and Boston tied it on Dustin Pedroias sacrifice fly. Ortiz hit a soft grounder to second baseman Steve Tolleson, but his toss to second hit Middlebrooks for an error that left the bases loaded. Cespedes then connected and Weeks, who ran for Vazquez, scored easily. "I felt great," Janssen said. "I truly believed I was going to get out of it." Tommy Layne (2-1) got the win. "If you look at the last three innings, it was a wild stretch of the game," Farrell said. "More importantly is how we continued to respond." Bostons first three-run comeback tied it 6-all in the eighth after Jose Bautista and Encarnacion each reached the 30-homer mark with a two-run shot. Bautistas made it 4-3 in the sixth, and Encarnacions gave Toronto a 6-3 lead in the eighth. TRAINERS ROOM Blue Jays: Cabrera will undergo season-ending surgery next week for a broken right pinkie. He left in the sixth inning for X-rays. He appeared to injure his finger in the third when he dove back into first base while being picked off. "I wanted to finish strong and help the team get to the playoffs," he said. Red Sox: Pedroia returned to his usual No. 2 spot in the lineup after missing five games with a concussion. ... 3B Brock Holt was replaced in the top of the 10th by Middlebrooks after feeling dizzy. UP NEXT J.A. Happ (9-8) pitches for Toronto against Boston RHP Clay Buchholz (6-8) in the second game of the three-game series Saturday night. They faced each other in Toronto on Aug. 25, when Buchholz went 8 1-3 innings and Boston won 4-3 in 10 after allowing the Blue Jays to tie with three runs in the ninth. Buchholzs 10 career wins against Toronto are his most against any opponent. YOUNG BATS Red Sox rookies Betts, Bogaerts and Vazquez were 7 for 13 with four RBIs from the last three spots in the order. "We got three young guys to start something going and Im glad all of us got something done so the other guys could drive us in," Bogaerts said. LOSING LEADS Toronto led 2-0 on Adam Linds two-run single in the first and then fell behind 3-2 as Boston scored a run in each of the first three innings. Then came Bostons two three-run rallies late in the game. "We didnt give up," Bogaerts said. Osta Nike Air Max . They probably ruined Tim Duncans hopes of a career change, though. Duncan wants to be a point guard, coach Gregg Popovich revealed Saturday, a wish that wont be granted. The New Jersey Devils have managed to miss the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, defying the statistical odds in the process. Off-Season Game Plan looks at a Devils team that is likely due for better results, and at least part of that is due to the impending departure of a future Hall of Famer. This past season, the Devils ranked fifth in Fenwick Close (unblocked 5-on-5 shot attempts when the game is within a goal through two periods, or tied in the third), after they were ranked third the year before. The most glaring reason for a team to not have success despite strong puck possession metrics is a bad run with percentages and thats been true with the Devils. This past season, the most obvious run of bad luck for New Jersey was a 0-13 record in shootouts, games that are being decided, effectively, by coin flips. For a team that finished five points out of a playoff spot, even getting 40% of those 13 points would have been enough. The Devils were 2-7 in 2012-2013, too, running their two-year record to 2-20! This after going 12-4 in the shootout in 2011-2012. Those results fluctuate. But, its not just a bad run on shootout winning percentage that has come back to get the Devils. Theyve also had subpar goaltending. Over the past four years, the Devils 5-on-5 save percentage ranks 28th. In 2013-2014, the Devils overall save percentage of .907 ranked 23rd in the league, a step up from being ranked 28th with an .890 save percentage, the year before. These percentages, combined with the bad run in shootouts serve to undermine what is, otherwise, a competitive hockey team. Not likely a Cup contender, their 2012 Cup Final appearance notwithstanding, but good enough to be a playoff team if the percentages arent dramatically awful. This goes back to the premise that the Devils may be looking better in that regard going forward, as it appears Martin Brodeurs run in New Jersey is coming to an end. A four-time Vezina Trophy winner who has won more games (688) and recorded more shutouts (124) than any other goaltender, Brodeur is 42-years-old and the numbers tell the story -- hes no longer a starting-calibre goaltender, so if the Devils move ahead with Cory Schneider handling a true starters workload, that alone will already improve their chances of success. This isnt to suggest that everything will be fine once Brodeur moves on, because thats not the case. The Devils two best offensive players, Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias, are also getting on in years and there dont appear to be any heir apparents among New Jerseys prospects, so while the current Devils roster appears good enough to compete for a playoff spot, there is a ceiling on how good they can realistically expect to be. Sidney Crosby finished at the top of the 2013-2014 regular season ratings at 87.12. Salary cap information all comes from the indispensable www.capgeek.com. Hes lost a step, maybe two, but hes still a massive physical presence who can control the puck in the offensive zone. The Devils are also smart enough to utilize Jagr properly, focusing his attention on the offensive side of the game. Consistency is the hallmark of Patrik Eliass game, even as he hits his late thirties. Hes one of 10 players to have at least .70 points per game in every season since 2005-2006. Naturally, hes no longer at his peak but, at 38-years-old, Elias remains a reliable two-way player. Further removed from his Achilles injury, Travis Zajac had a more productive offensive season, though hes tended towards being a stronger two-way player than a typical first-line scoring centre. Even so, he still rates pretty well in terms of goal differential, on for 56.0% of 5-on-5 goals over the past six seasons. Not the most likely candidate to lead the Devils in goal-scoring last season, Adam Henrique doesnt generate that many shots. Among the 51 players to score at least 25 goals last season, two (Steven Stamkos and Valtteri Filppula) had fewer shots on goal than Henrique. The Devils have committed long-term to Zajac and Henrique down the middle and thats okay, but that pair might also come with a lower ceiling than other teams top-two centres. Power forward Ryane Clowe, signed last summer as an effective replacement for David Clarkson, has scored 10 goals in 83 games over the past two seasons, but he was still effective enough when healthy. The trouble is that health tends to go quickly for power forwards on the wrong side of 30, so health likely remains a risk going forward. Michael Ryder has scored at least 18 goals in five of the past six seasons (scoring 16 in the lockout-shortened season), but last years 34 points in 82 games represented the second-lowest scoring rate of his career. At 34, hes in decline, but has one year left on his contract, so its not as though the Devils are invested long-term; they can still hope that Ryder has enough left to give them 20 goals next season. Even after a decent rookie season, Damien Brunner had a bit of a hard time finding a contract last summer before ending up with the Devils. While hes counted on to provide complementary offence, two goals in his last 27 games didnt exactly fulfill that expectation. Hes skilled enough to complement skilled players, but does not appear be strong enough to drive play in his own right. 35-year-old Dainius Zubrus is a trusted soldier, who was often tasked with difficult checking assignments last season. Hes versatile enough to get moved around the lineup as needed. Acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes, veteran Tuomo Ruutu was very effective in New Jersey. He had a modest eight points in 19 games, but was also on the ice for more than 58% of the shots during 5-on-5 play. Ruutus body has taken a beating over the course of his career, and isnt too fleet afoot, but that seemed to work out all right while playing with Jagr, as they could use their power game to dominate possession. There are enough returning forwards that the Devils could press ahead with that top nine and replace (or re-sign) fourth-line free agents, but it wouldnt hurt to add another quality forward to the mix. Maybe someone like Devin Setoguchi or a return of Brian Gionta could work. Hes not a prototype No. 1 defenceman, but thats the role Greene fills for the Devils. There was a time when Anton Volchenkov hurled his body in front of every shot attempt, consistently ranking among the leagues blocked shot leaders -- topping out at 273 in 2006-2007 -- but those were days when he was playing 21 minutes per game, facing tough opposition. Now, Volchenkov is logging 16 minutes a game, facing relatively easy assignments. The question for the Devils to answer is whether or not its worth taking a $4.25-million cap hit for the next two seasons on a defenceman who doesnt play very much. A second-round pick in 2010, Jon Merrill didnt spent long in the AHL (27 games, scoring 18 points) before landing in New Jersey and he played well as a rookie. Not a standout, and not the kind of offensive contributions that he had in Albany or at the University of Michigan, but Merrill has the size and skating ability to find himself in a top-four role. Peter Harrold is a utility man, filling in wherever hes needed and even providing solid possession stats, but hes played 86 NHL games over the past four seasons. Bryce Salvador was a playoff hero in 2012 and while he continues to play 20 minutes a night, when healthy (he missed 42 games with injuries last season), hes been on the wrong end of the possession game. Hes 38-years-old, so it would be reasonable to cut back on his playing time. He can round out his game to earn the trust of the coaching staff, but theres no denying the impact that Eric Gelinas can have on the power play, as he scored 17 of his 29 points with the man advantage. The fourth overall pick in 2011, Adam Larsson hasnt been able to secure a regular spot in the lineup, with his ice time decreasing over the course of his three pro seasons. If hes not going to be part of the Devils plans next season, the 21-year-old is young enough that he would have value on the trade market. While Mark Fayne is an underrated defender that the Devils may lose to free agency, there could also be some appeal for the Devils to go after a veteran defenceman like Dan Boyle, Anton Stralman or Tom Gilbert to stabilize their top four. Over the past five years, Schneiders .928 save percentage is near the best in the league and the Devils should probably see what he can do with 55-60 starts. On the other hand, Brodeurs game has declined in recent seasons, as one might expect from a now 42-year-old goaltender. Brodeur seems to be inclined to play next season and, strange as it sounds, it may not be in New Jersey. Top Prospects Player Pos. Picked in the second round last summer, Steve Santini is a rock-solid physical defenceman who had a strong freshman year at Boston College. Doesnt have the puck skills of some other New Jersey defence prospects. Picked in the fourth round in 2011, Reid Boucher is a goal-scorer with a big shot and while he scored all right in the AHL, he managed two goals and seven points in 23 games with New Jersey in his first audition. Powerfully-built Stefan Matteau, a first-round pick in 2012, seems a safe bet to develop into an NHL player, but hasnt scored enough to project him to fit into top half of the depth chart when he does reach the NHL for keeps. Undrafted out of Union College, Keith Kinkaid has put in three seasons in the AHL, with last season the best of the three. While there might be an opportunity to step in as the backup to Schneider, it could require a leap of faith to pencil Kinkaid into that spot. A sixth-round pick in 2011, Reece Scarlett had a solid first pro season, at least when he was healthy, but was limited to 48 games in his first pro season. A good showing next year could put Scarlett into consideration for New Jersey. Texas native Blake Coleman didnt score much in his first two seasons at Miami-Ohio, but broke through for 19 goals and 28 points in 27 games as a junior. Surely the Devils would appreciate if he could build on that with a strong senior campaign. Drafted in the third round last summer, Ryan Kujawinski has good size and can score, but missed time with hand and knee injuries last season. The 19-year-old should have a big year in the OHL next season. A fifth-round pick in 2012, Graham Black had modest production in the WHL, until last season, when he burst through with 97 points in 69 games as an overager. Time for him to make the move to the AHL. Picked in the fifth round in 2011, Blake Pietila has been a solid, if unspectacular collegiate player at Michigan Tech. The 21-year-old needs a strong senior campaign if hes going to be considered a serious prospect. Alexander Urbom is huge and got into 20 games with the Washington Capitals, after he was claimed on waivers last season, but he returned to the Devils organization, remaining a viable depth option on the blueline. • Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork. Air Max Jordan Shoes .com) - Jiri Tlusty recorded two goals and an assist as the Carolina Hurricanes came through with a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the opener of a home-and-home series. Nathan Gerbe snapped a 2-2 tie with a power-play score early in the third period that helped the Hurricanes halt a three-game skid and deal the powerful Penguins just their third regulation defeat in their last 16 outings. Carolina entered the matchup an NHL-worst 2-9-2 on the road this season. Patrick Dwyer added a goal to support a 20-save effort from Hurricanes goaltender Cam Ward. Pittsburgh, which was outshot by a 35-22 margin, received goals from Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist. Sidney Crosby assisted on both markers, with Marc-Andre Fleury stopping 31-of-34 chances in defeat. We just didnt play well, Crosby said. (The Hurricanes) work hard. They pressure the puck and they just out-battled us, but they did the right things and we didnt play well at all. After outplaying the Penguins through two periods but still mired in a 2-2 deadlock, the Hurricanes capitalized on a goaltender interference penalty to Crosby to regain the upper hand. Elias Lindholm hit Gerbe in the left circle with a pass across the width of the ice, and the diminutive wing fired a shot through Fleurys pads 3:10 into the frame. The Hurricanes maintained the lead as Pittsburgh barely tested Ward the rest of the way, with Tlusty sealing the outcome on an empty-net goal with 12.4 seconds left. We were able to control our gaps and prevent them from getting in the neutral zone and it seemed to (get to) them a little bit, said Ward. Carolina struck first near the end of an opening period in which they racked up 17 shots, with Tlustys bad-angle attempt from the left boards caroming off the leg of Pittsburghs Olli Maatta and trickling by Fleury just under 16 minutes in. The Penguins answered a mere 43 seconds later, however, when Letang swooped in to poke a rebound of Nick Spalings wrister into an open left side. Carolina regained the upper hand early in the second, as a Pittsburgh turnover near center ice led to Dwyer beating Fleury glove-side with 2:54 elapsed in the stanza. Pittsburgh again had a response, however, as Hornqvist took in a drop pass from Crosby in transition and rocketed the puck by Ward 4:08 prior to the second intermission. Game Notes The two teams will square off again Saturday in Raleigh ... Pittsburgh was dealt its first regulation loss at home since a 5-3 setback to Philadelphia on Oct. 22 ... The Hurricanes had been 1-4-2 in their last seven visits to Pittsburgh, which had won five of the last six overall meetings between the clubs ... Crosby now has six assists over the Penguins last three games ... Pittsburghs Evgeni Malkin had a six-game point streak halted ... • DETROIT - Anders Lee called it a garbage goal. Wholesale Jordan 6 Cheap .The New York Islanders will take it — along with yet another victory at Detroit.Lee knocked the puck over the goal line for a split-second in the second period, and the Islanders went on to a 2-1 victory over the Red Wings on Friday night. Detroit has now lost its last five home games against the Islanders — the Red Wings havent beaten New York at Joe Louis Arena since 2003.Lee was credited with the tiebreaking goal after a replay review. Brock Nelson took the puck from Detroits Riley Sheahan and nearly slipped it past goalie Petr Mrazek, but it sat next to the right post before Lee arrived and hacked at it. At first, it wasnt clear if the puck went in, but a replay showed it barely crossing the line before Detroit defenceman Jonathan Ericsson cleared it out.Brock made a great play, stripping the puck from his guy, Lee said. He got it most of the way, except for the last six inches. A garbage goal.Nelson was credited with an assist on that goal, and he also scored in the first period. Henrik Zetterberg scored for the Red Wings. The Islanders trail Pittsburgh by two points for the best record in the Eastern Conference.I thought it was a pretty high-level hockey game, Detroit coach Mike Babcock said. I was impressed with their team, but I was impressed with lots of things we did too.Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard left after the first period with a lower-body injury. His counterpart, Jaroslav Halak, had 17 saves for New York. The Red Wings have lost five in a row, three in shootouts. The Islanders outshot Detroit 32-18.Mrazek replaced Howard with the score 1-all after the first, and he immediately made a sparkling save on Nelson, stretching his left pad to stop the New York centres shot from close range. But Nelson was back in front of the net later in the period after taking the puck from Sheahan, and Lee eventually scored. The story of the year, so far, is how we find different ways to win, Nelson said. The last two games, weve played well defensively. The Islanders have won three straight.Detroits Johan Franzen nearly tied it in the final seconds of the second period, but New Yorks Calvin de Haan deflected that effort over the goal.Gustav Nyquist and Zetterberg each hit the post for Detroit in the third.I didnt mind tonights game. I thought our effort was good, Babcock said. I would have liked to have seen us execute on a few plays a little better, but I thought Mrazek was fantastic coming off the bench.Zetterberg one-timed a shot through traffic and past Halak to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead, but Nelson tied it later in the first. With the puck loose in front of the crease, Nelson went diving for it and knocked it under Howard before the goalie could cover it.Tough building to come in and play. They came out hard and we were able to weather it. Got back to our game plan, Nelson said. Youve got to get to the front (of the net) to score goals. Coaches harp on that — got to get big bodies to the net.NOTES: New Yorks Johnny Boychuk and Travis Hamonic both returned after missing substantial time with injuries. Boychuk missed nine games with a lower-body injury and Hamonic sat out six with an upper-body injury. ... Franzen returned after missing a game with the flu. ... Islanders RW Michael Grabner didnt play because of a lower-body injury. ... Mrazek had 22 saves. New York outshot Detroit 16-7 in the second. Jordan 6 Wholesale . However, Jim Popp isnt sure how long hell be able to admire wide receiver Duron Carter.Twenty-nine years ago yesterday, 39 supporters who had set off for a football match in Brussels, Belgium would not return home to their loved ones. I remember it vividly. A Wednesday evening, home in London watching the TV with huge anticipation for the annual showpiece event of the Euro soccer calendar - the 1985 European Cup Final between Liverpool and Juventus. The 1984 Italian Champions team included Paolo Rossi, the striker who singlehandedly slayed the might of Brazil when scoring a hat trick against them in the quarterfinals of the 1982 World Cup. Rossi wasnt even the star player. That was Michel Platini, the current UEFA President. Italys Brazil 2014 manager, Cesare Prandelli was on the bench. The 39 innocent supporters were killed in cold blood as they attempted to flee from the onslaught of hooliganism initiated by so called fans of Liverpool. It occurred on the terrace behind the goal where Juventus supporters were in the majority. A wall which prevented the Juventus supporters from escaping collapsed with devastating consequences an hour before the game had been scheduled to kick off. Thirty-eight died instantly, a 39th victim succumbing in hospital three months later. Thirty-two were Italians, four Belgian and two French nationals, even a supporter from Northern Ireland. Reports at the time stated over 600 fans were treated for injuries they suffered. The victims came from a whole cross section of society. Included a couple of mailmen, a pair of chefs, three doctors, several students and store workers, a car mechanic, a soldier, a school boy, a farmer, a fashion photographer , a construction worker, a taxi driver and a school janitor. The youngest of whom was only 11-years old. The Heysel Tragedy. One of soccers darkest moments. In the aftermath, UEFA deemed it acceptable for the match to go ahead. Their reasoning concluded it was in the public safety to do so. Cancelling the match they believed would have led to further mayhem. For the record, courtesy of a second half Michel Platini penalty, Juventus won its first European title. The subsequent investigation into the Heysel Tragedy brought no comfort to the grieving families. The stadium was ill equipped to deal with such an occasion. In the weeks leading up to the final Juventus and Liverpool complained to UEFA, stating their concerns for the stadium. Crumbling infrastructure, inadequate policing and security were key factors in preventing such a tragedy. All that separated the Liverpool and Juventus supporters on that fateful terrace was a chicken wire. Criminal charges werre made. Jordan 6 For Sale Cheap. Convictions for involuntary manslaughter were bought against 14 Liverpool fans in a court case that took over four-years to bring. They served very little jail time. Civil charges against those resulted in a scant award of $7 million to the victims families. The Belgian Football Union was put in the dock too. The BFUs most senior official given a suspended prison sentence for "Regrettable Negligence." UEFA itself was not immune - their president and another senior official receiving conditional discharges. Two days after the tragedy and under severe pressure from Margaret Thatchers government, the English Football Association announced it was banning its clubs from playing in Europe. Within a week, UEFA announced that with immediate effect they were banning English clubs indefinitely. It would be five years before they would be permitted to enter European competitions. Additionally Liverpool were banned for a further three-years but 12 months later that ban was lifted. In a highly moving pre-match ceremony on the pitch before their April 27th match against Chelsea, Liverpool recognized the 25th Anniversary of Hillsborough.  Brendan Rodgers led the tributes. Yesterday the club placed a floral tribute beneath the Heysel Memorial Plaque which adorns the Centenary Stand at Anfield. Juventus marked the anniversary late last month in a ceremony at their memorial site for the victims. Yesterday a poignant statement was posted on the clubs website - Heysel, the Day of Silence. Hillsborough has always remained in the public consciousness. Heysel however has not. Look at UEFAs website today and you wouldnt even know such an inhumane tragedy occurred at their showpiece club event. If anything positive came out of Heysel, it was that it signified the beginning of the end of wide scale rioting and hooliganism that had wrought havoc across the English game in the preceding decade. That is not to suggest that today the so termed "English Disease" has been completely eradicated. As millions of supporters begin  gathering in the 12 host cities staging this summers World Cup, they do so against a backdrop which  includes construction worker fatalities and anti-World Cup protests similar to those which occurred at last summers Confederations Cup where an estimated 1,000,000 Brazilians took to the streets. Come July 13th when the world gathers around its TV sets for the World Cup Final let us hope during these upcoming weeks the world doesnt lay witness to 1 more death in the `name of football. Authentic Nike Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Tennessee Titans Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Washington Redskins Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Arizona Cardinals Jerseys CheapAuthentic Nike Denver Broncos Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Green Bay Packers Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike New England Patriots Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Oakland Raiders Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Seattle Seahawks Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Carolina Panthers Jerseys Cheap Authentic Nike Cleveland Browns Jerseys Cheap Cheap Throwback Baseball Arizona Diamondbacks Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Atlanta Braves Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Baltimore Orioles Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Boston Red Sox Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Chicago Cubs Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Chicago White Sox Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Cincinnati Reds Jerseys Cheap Throwback Baseball Cleveland Indians Jerseys ' ' '

    • BARCELONA, Spain -- Striker Ikechukwu Uche scored two goals and earned a penalty in Villarreals 3-0 win against 10-man Levante on Sunday, keeping the promoted side near the top of the Spanish league. Air Max Comprar Online España . Sergio Garcia did one better for Espanyol in its 4-1 victory at 10-man Rayo Vallecano, earning the dismissal of the opposition goalkeeper before scoring a hat trick to break a four-game winless streak for the Catalan club. Sevilla rolled over 10-man Betis 4-0 in the always heated Seville derby, while Elche edged Valencia 2-1 at home thanks to substitute Cristian Herreras late winner. Villarreals victory kept it in fourth place and in control of Spains last Champions League spot. "We are just going ahead game by game," Uche said. "We are going to try to win all we can and then well see." Uche broke free in the area in the 10th minute and was brought down by goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who was shown a direct red card. Villarreal team captain and midfielder Bruno Soriano stroked in the penalty kick after Javi Jimenez replaced Navas. Jimenez kept Levante in the match until Soriano delivered a through ball for Uche to score in the 74th. The Nigeria international scored again with a bicycle kick in the 89th. Garcia drew a foul from Rayo goalkeeper Ruben Martinez who was sent off with a red card in the 25th. Garcia converted the penalty kick and then added a second goal for Espanyol from the spot in the 51st when striker Jonathan Cordoba was fouled by Anaitz Arbilla. Saul Niguez gave Rayo some hope with a headed goal in the 81st. But Garcia managed to toe the ball home while falling backwards to seal the win two minutes later. Substitute Christian Stuani hit on the break in the 85th to cap Espanyols much-needed victory. "Its impossible to take the ball from Rayo," said Espanyol coach Javier Aguirre. "It always has more possession than its rivals, even Barcelona and Real Madrid. We tried to maintain our composure and take advantage of the chances their errors provided us, and early on thats what we got with Sergio Garcia and Cordoba. If we had pressed Rayo early they would have run over us." Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca scored one goal and set up another at Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to keep Betis winless on the road this season and stuck in last place. Bacca struck two minutes in from a touch pass by Jose Antonio Reyes to set the tone, and Sevillas defence dogged Betis up and down the pitch from start to finish. Betis lost defender Paulao when he was booked for a second time in the 42nd for fouling Reyes, and Stephane Mbia headed the resulting free kick served by Ivan Rakitic through the hands of goalie Sara Guillermo. After Betis again lost the ball in its half, Bacca chipped a pass to Victor "Vitolo" Machin to beat Sara from a tight angle in the 65th. Vicente Iborra, who had hit the post earlier, completed the demolition in the 88th with a header to turn in Rakitics corner kick. "We knew that as hosts we had to go at them," Bacca said after his first game against Sevillas crosstown rival. "The derbies are like finals, you dont play them, you win them. All week when I was out, at a restaurant eating with my family, people stopped to tell me how important this game was." Valencia outplayed Elche in the first half but could go no closer than Jonas shot off the crossbar from close range six minutes in. Fidel Chaves put Elche in front in the 57th with a well-directed header to flick Edu Abacars pass off the base of the far upright and into the net. Valencia pushed Elche into its area and Juan Bernat banged in his own rebound in the 73rd after goalkeeper Manuel Herrera parried his initial volley. Cristian Herrera went on in the 79th and five minutes later took Ferran Corominas pass lobbed into the area and beat keeper Diego Alves with a shot from the left elbow of the six-yard box to claim the three points. Elches win lifted it level on points with Valencia in the middle of the table. On Saturday, leader Barcelona didnt miss the injured Lionel Messi as it eased past Granada 4-0 to maintain its three-point advantage over Atletico Madrid, which demolished Getafe 7-0. Also, Real Madrid lost Cristiano Ronaldo to a hamstring injury after he scored in a 5-0 win at Almeria, while Carlos Vela scored four goals to give Real Sociedad a 4-3 win over Celta Vigo. Sounder newcomer Marco Pappa, (with over 100 MLS games, and 39 Guatemalan Caps to his name) attempted a back pass to one of his central defenders. It appears CFL Scouting Bureau top prospect Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will be playing football south of the border this upcoming season, but it may not be very far south. The Montreal offensive lineman tweeted earlier this week he was visiting the Buffalo Bills. According to reports, it wasnt Duvernay-Tardiffs firstt meeting with the Bills. Nike Air Max España. • DUBLIN, Ohio -- Another rain delay cut short some exceptional golf Friday in the Presidents Cup. Cheap Air Max On Sale . Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley shot 30 on the front nine at Muirfield Village, an astounding performance in foursomes. Only some sloppy play allowed the match to go 15 holes in a 4-and-3 win over Jason Day and Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask. "We were down but, boy, on 5 we just turned it on and played some of our best golf," Mickelson said. Right behind them, Brendon de Jonge began to emerge as a star of the International team. He teamed with Ernie Els and they never trailed in a 4-and-3 win over Hunter Mahan and Bill Hass, going 8 under when the match ended at the 15th. "This guy, he played beautiful and we both played well today," Els said. The Americans had a 4 1/2-3 1/2 lead, though four matches were still in progress when darkness descended on Muirfield Village. For the second straight day, storms interrupted play and left a bleak outlook for finishing Sunday. Heavy rain -- and the time it took to get small pools of water out of the bunkers and fairways -- led to a delay of nearly three hours. The other four matches -- the Americans were up in two, the International led the other two -- were to resume Saturday morning. Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar were 6 under through eight holes and still only had a 1-up lead over Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. Oosthuizen missed a short par putt on the ninth to lose another hole, and the former British Open champion made an even greater blunder on the par-3 12th. After Woods went long of the green, Oosthuizens 7-iron leaked to the right and hopped into the water. The Americans won with a bogey and were 3 up with six holes to play when they stopped. Steve Stricker and 20-year-old Jordan Spieth finally seized control of their match when Spieth made a 15-foot birdie putt on the par-3 eighth, and the Texan made another key birdie on the 12th. They were 3 up with four holes remaining. What looked to be the decisive match of the foursomes session was Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman, who overcame an early deficit and were 1 up with five holes remaining against Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker. The International team had control of the other match. Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott lost only one hole and were 4 up with seven holes remaining against Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner. Saturday is the busiest day for the Presidents Cup, with five fourballs matches early and five foursomes matches late. It concludes with 12 singles matches Sunday, though the forecast is not any better, especially for Sunday. One thing was becoming clear through the relentless appearance of clouds -- the course Jack Nicklaus built has been groomed for birdies. Nicklaus stood at the back of the press centre peering at the scoreboard, and he couldnt believe the scores he saw from both sides. "They say this golf course is tough," Nicklaus said, although he knows better. The greens are among the most pure on the PGA Tour, and they are soft because of the rain. In match play, with 24 of the best players from every continent except Europe, Muirfield Village doesnt stand much of a chance. "They are not protecting the course like they might do on a Sunday of the Memorial," Els said. "So they are setting up the course where you can make some birdies if you play properly." It was a big change from two years ago at fast, fiery and frightening Royal Melbourne. In 80 holes on Friday, there were 51 birdies and two eagles. Thats good for the fourballs format -- rarely for alternate shot. "People want to see birdies," Mickelson said. "We dont want to be playing defence. We want to be playing offence. And when you do that, youre winning holes because of great shots, not because of others mistakes. And I think thats exactly the way it should be in these team events." Mickelson and Bradley, coming off their first loss in four matches as a team, fell behind early and needed a pair of big putts from Bradley to keep from falling further behind. It took a 15-foot eagle putt by Mickelson just to square the match on the par-5 fifth. But there was no stopping them from there. They followed with three straight birdies and won three straight holes on the back nine with pars. Mickelson tried to hole out a pitch just short of the 13th green -- an up-and-down was all he needed -- and it hit the hole and spun 4 feet away. Bradley missed the par putt, bungled the 14th for another bogey and they halved the 15th with birdies. Even so, they made six birdies and an eagle in 15 holes of alternate shot. "I just think that when Phil and I get rolling in this alternate shot, we complement each other so well," Bradley said. "I think that we both really enjoy kind of showing off in front of each other." De Jonge and Els opened with two quick birdies through three holes and never gave Mahan and Haas much of a chance. They didnt lose a single hole. "Brendon played awesome," Els said. "He played great yesterday. Actually, he even played better today." The Zimbabwean, in his first Presidents Cup, said Els contributed in his own way. "Dont let Ernie give me all the credit," de Jonge said. "Hes by far the most calming influence Ive ever been on the golf course with. Its nice to play with a Hall of Famer who hits it in the middle of the fairway and middle of the green. He makes it very easy." The conclusion of the second session could be pivotal for captain Nick Price and his International team, which has lost the last seven foursomes sessions in this event. Air Max Wholesale . Ferguson told Uniteds in-house TV channel on Saturday that he has no immediate plans to walk away from the game, and that he still hungers for more trophies even after 25 years in charge of the club.(SportsNetwork.com) - LeBron James has lifted the Miami Heat within one game of the Eastern Conference Finals, and hell try to finish off the Brooklyn Nets when the two sides meet in Game 5 of the East semis Wednesday night at American Airlines Arena. After the two-time defending champion Heat lost Game 3 in Brooklyn, James, the MVP runner-up, put Miami on his back in Game 4 Wednesday night, a 102-96 victory. James scored 49 points, matching his career-high in the playoffs, and the Heat bounced back two days after having their eight-game postseason winning streak snapped. James was 16-of-24 from the field and 14-of-19 at the foul line. He missed a free throw with 1.1 seconds left and a chance to reach 50. He also scored 49 points for Cleveland in Game 1 of the 2009 conference finals against Orlando. "Whatever I needed to do to help us win, it needed to be done -- offensively, defensively, being the leader that I am on the floor, helping us overcome any adversity," said James. Dwyane Wade added 15 points for the second-seeded Heat, Chris Bosh scored 12 and Ray Allen had 11 off the bench. Miami shot just shy of 53 percent. Joe Johnson had 18 points to lead a well-rounded Nets effort. Paul Pierce chipped in 16 and Deron Williams and Shaun Livingston both scored 13. James piicked up his fifth foul and Kevin Garnett made two free throws to tie the score with less than a minute to go. Air Max Cheap Online. Surrounded by Garnett and Pierce down low, James kicked the ball back to Mario Chalmers up top and Chalmers swung it to Bosh in the right corner. Bosh buried the 3-pointer to break the tie, sparking an 8-2 Miami run to end the game. James had that free throw with a hair over one second left for the magical 50- point plateau, but missed, and he muttered something to himself. "Thats the first time Ive been disappointed in myself in a win," said James. "It definitely wont take away from the fact it was a huge game for us, being able to win this ball game. "But it was a free throw. I hate missing free throws." Now the series shifts back to South Beach, where the Heat are 4-0 this postseason. Brooklyn took both regular-season meetings in Miami and this veteran-laden squad isnt booking tee times just yet. "The series is far from over," said Pierce. "Weve got to go down there, try to get one game and force the series back at home. Just one, weve just got to get one game. Thats the mindset." Miami will try to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the fourth straight season.
