due to a broken jaw suffered in th

(SportsNetwork. Jason Pierre-Paul Buccaneers Jersey .com) - The struggling Edmonton Oilers will try to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs in Tuesdays clash at Rexall Place. The Oilers will a key contributor back their lineup as centre Sam Gagner is expected to return after missing the last 13 games due to a broken jaw suffered in the preseason. The Oilers are 0-2-1 over their last three games and have lost eight of their last 10 contests. Edmonton used a strong performance by goaltender Richard Bachman in their last contest to eke out a point in a shootout loss against the Los Angeles Kings. Bachman made 47 saves through regulation and overtime in Sundays road game, but then allowed Mike Richards and Anze Kopitar to score for the Kings in the shootout phase. "I liked the way we stayed in the fight," Edmonton head coach Dallas Eakins said. "We were under siege, especially in the third. I dont think the guys had a lot left in the tank, but Bachman was excellent." Nail Yakupov scored the lone goal for the Oilers in regulation and Jordan Eberle was the only Edmonton shooter to beat Jonathan Quick in the shootout portion. The Oilers enter Tuesdays home test with a 1-3-0 record on home ice and the Maple Leafs have won two straight and four of their last five games in Edmonton. The Maple Leafs have taken four straight from Edmonton in this series overall, but the last two meetings were decided in overtime. Toronto is coming off Saturdays win against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins. Nazem Kadri potted the game winner just 1:26 into the final period to help the Maple Leafs down the Penguins, 4-1, at Air Canada Centre. Dave Bolland added two goals, Phil Kessel had a goal and an assist and James Reimer turned away 37 shots for the Maple Leafs, who had dropped three of four coming into the game. "I felt good. There wasnt too much rust. I felt comfortable and the guys played a great game," Reimer said. Reimer is expected to start in goal this evening. The Maple Leafs played their second straight game without key forward Joffrey Lupul on Saturday and the winger is a game-time decision for tonights contest. The oft-injured Lupul, who has six goals and four assists this season, is battling a bruised foot. Toronto is kicking off a three-game road trip tonight and is 3-2-0 as the visiting team this season. Chandler Catanzaro Jersey . Murray, the defending champion and No. 3 seed, claimed his first match win at Queens in 2005 and went on to win the Wimbledon warmup three times. But he failed to take advantage of eight set points after leading the first-set tiebreaker 6-2, and Stepanek survived to convert with his second set point. Ryan Jensen Jersey . Twenty-four-year-old Anthony Rizzo hit two home runs and 24-year-old Kyle Hendricks pitched seven innings for his first major league victory, leading the Cubs to a 6-0 victory over the San Diego Padres that snapped their five-game losing streak. And rookie Arimendy Alcantara hit the hardest ball of the night, a blast over the bleachers in right field that landed on Sheffield Avenue. "I just try to hit the ball," the 22-year-old Alcantara said. "If it goes far, that is OK." "Theyre not looking like theyre too bothered by being at the major league level," manager Rick Renteria noticed. "Theyre just playing the game, simplifying it between the lines." Rizzo staked Hendricks to a 2-0 lead in the third inning with a solo homer. Four innings later, Alcantara and Rizzo hit back-to-back homers off Blaine Boyer for a 5-0 lead. Rizzo became the first National League player to reach 25 homers this season, his career high. He finished with 23 homers in 160 games last season. "Im not stronger than I was last year, I dont think," said Rizzo, who credited a more disciplined approach for his recent power surge. Recalled from Triple-A Iowa earlier Tuesday, Hendricks (1-0) made short work of an anemic Padres lineup that entered the game with a total of 29 home runs and 103 RBIs. In his second start of the season, the right-hander allowed five hits and threw only 83 pitches, two that were clocked faster than 88 mph. He walked three and struck out five. "Best day of my life," Hendricks called it. "Awesome." The Padres had two runners on base in the first, third and fifth innings, but the Cubs turned two of their season-high four double plays to erase the last two threats. In the process,, Hendricks continued to erase doubts that he could finesse his way to the next level. Vinny Curry Buccaneers Jersey. "You wonder that when you come up," said Hendricks, whose father John was in attendance. "Thats definitely the hardest thing in baseball — to trust your stuff. But thats what you have to fall back on also." Eric Stults (3-12) lasted only five innings in the muggy conditions and took the loss, the ninth in his last 10 decisions. He gave up three runs and six hits and walked three. "Yeah, we get spoiled by the weather in San Diego," Stults said. "So tonight definitely the humidity was something I wasnt used to. Its hard to catch your breath. The way (Hendricks) threw, he had some quick innings. It felt like I was sitting down and getting right back up."
