How To Make A Hair Lace Closure Wig Look Natural

Closure Wig are real popular with women seeking protective styles, suffering from hair loss or thinning hair. A hair closure is a hair piece usually made of lace or silk with human hair attached. Coined a finishing piece, it is essentially used to close in a sew-in weave, quick weave or wig. Here are some tips to make Closure Wigs look natural.

Choose the Right Lace Closure or Lace Frontal Closure
Select a good quality lace closure that the color and texture like your natural real hair. Part the hair in the closure to get a natural. Note: Closure parts slightly to the side will look more natural than the middle parts.

Choose the Lace Color That Can Match Your Skin Tone
Purchase an HD Lace Closure, which is virtually undetectable and blends into your scalp giving you the most realistic look. You can also dye lace at home by using a fabric dye; not too dark but close in tone to your skin, Dip a cotton swab into the dye and apply wherever the lace will be visible: the hair part or around your hairline.

Trim Off the Excess Lace Off
Trim off the excess lace off before you wear the Lace Closure Wig or lace frontal closure. Cut the excess off with sharp fabric scissors, leaving about a 1.25-inch lace strip.

Hide All Of Your Own Hair
For a more natural appearance, hide all of your own hair before you install the hair closure. You can accomplish this with cornrow braids, or if your hair is short you can simply pin your hair down against your skull. You should always aim for a relatively smooth surface before applying the closure.

Sharpen a White Eyeliner Pencil to a Point
After you have adjusted the lace closure to fit your head comfortably, lightly draw a white line on the parted area of the scalp with the white liner pencil. Make the line thin, and as close to the scalp as possible.

Shake and Open the Bottle of Skin Colored Concealer
Dip a thin makeup brush into the makeup -- collecting a small amount of concealer on the tip of the brush. Lightly brush the white liner-covered part with a thin layer of skin-colored concealer. Wipe the Makeup Brush Off with a Paper Towel and dip the clean brush into a small amount of makeup powder that is a little darker than your skin tone. Brush a thin layer of makeup powder over the part to seal the concealer.

      Try Baby Powder
If the lace closure is too shiny, lightly dust it with baby powder and then brush it to let your closure hair looks darker and natural. Use a wide-tooth comb and a vent brush for styling your lace closure, since both will reduce the pull on the hair. Go slow when removing tangles to protect your lace closure.
